“single battle”
the Meuse=Argonne offensive is a combination of multiple battles that amassed a total of 1.200.000 active soldiers in the american side
The battle of the bulge only had 230.000 soldiers
The Offensive had 10% casualtie rate whilst the battle of the bulge had 35%, it was bloodier

Also wikipedia can confuse KIA with deaths
Like the Bulge didn’t include multiple battles?
Nope, it was combined forces with the French and Americans.
The only reason it is 10% is because of the mass amount of troops. Last time I checked, the bulge had 228,741 men, which means the casualty rate at the Meuse would lower the fighting force down to around 50%.
The casualty count is what makes it bloodier. That is why the American Civil War is the bloodiest war in American History.
The KIA is 10k. The Meuse was 26,277.
The Christmas Cease fire was packed with heat for the US… Gift from the germans… and Ardennes marked the last offensive for the Germans
