snipers known to be best enviroment user. a lot of snipers uses tree tops to snipe better.
i think devs can add some mechanic to climb then tie ourselves to tree as sniper exclusive skill
japanese snipers used this tactic a lot
in wooded maps, snipers will be deadly ambushers
Yes, totally. I am so up for this. Also kill cam should be removed when using this tactic as a sniper.
If this was considered to be added (which I am for, its a good idea and not just for Japanese) I really think adding the ability to chop down trees with an axe would also need to be added. Why?
As a defender you could remove some trees that could be problematic when you fall back. As an attacker you can remove trees that might have a strong flank shot that defenders would use. You can clear trees for a better line of sight for more than just snipers. There are a lot of reasons.
I find it cool but with current AI it would be pointless and requires more “forrest”/ jungle maps because rn most maps in Pacfic are beaches and semi-urban maps.
This is or at least was already possible. 1 year ago played lot of Swamp map on Normandy and could climb up onto trees. Right now haven’t tried it and also looks like devs changed jump mechanics, looks like you can’t jump as high anymore, haven’t also tried to get into attics for some time. If this is true then it’s a big downgrade, as there are less infantry freedom and more explosions, airstrikes and vehicle spam.
Dev had removed ability to climb onto a small horizontal surface, like I used to climb to 2nd floor via windows.
Also some model hitbox has been smoothed out so no more hitbox to grab.
