German research tree is an absolute nightmare of trash and filler. Let’s take the SMG as an example. To advance from tier 1 to tier 3 the Soviet need 5 researches done. The German need 11 research to get to tier 3. Soviet SMG to tier 5 is 7. German need 15. Anti tank (heavy): Soviet need 6 to br3, german need 8. Why do we need 2 trash AT rifles right at the start, with no improvement whatsoever? Same with rifle, Soviet need 7, German need 10, with so many folder. And the list goes on, this is just a few, all techlines of the German are absolutely cluttered.

Also dont forget tank line. Why on earth panzer 4f2 and g are not foldered? Or panther a and g? Or panzer 4j and h? People say that germans have the most stuff but most of it is just filler.
Other nations also need improvements like usa who has to grind 5 thompsons and 3 bars separately for no reason

They can folder it more. There’re way to solve it. They can just remove it and still have the equiments kept for people who have it. Give the people who is missing things from the tech trees after the removal the research. Just give the research for free? There are many way to solve it and still please people. They can just folder all the Italy stuff for example.

They can, but first of all it takes effort to introduce something. They usually take imbalanced weapons and equipment out of the store, sometimes they cut something in characteristics.
