it can’t happen because of politics, during the 2nd Sino-Japanese War the main faction that led the Chinese states was the nationalist China which today holds the only control of Taiwan after having been defeated by the Communists or by the current China and we all know how the Chinese government deals with the “history”

Yeah that sucks because to my knowledge, the Nationalists fought off the Japanese for the longest. It would have also been interesting to see the special German-trained divisions.

Well, 8th route army in north china and new 4th army in south china were former Chinese Red army. If implement not only National revolutionary army but also communist army, perhaps it is allowable for PRC.
If all the Chinese were united to fight the invaders, it wouldn’t be too much of a problem. At least, I think NRA is not a large problem. For example, in the Chinese movie (not Taiwan)“ 八佰” published in 2020, main characters were soldiers of NRA 88th Division, the most famous German-trained division but finally it passed the censorship.
The problem is puppets like Manchuria or ROC Nanjing government etc. if implement such squads, Chinese get mad.
