Cheaters

gaijin should take cheaters seriously, the change from Easy anticheat to BattleEye did not bring any improvement, a very well known clan in this community are cheaters, aimbot is clearly what they use, all perfect shots without missing bullets, blocking players is useless because they always appear in other games, what is the point of blocking players then?

Welcome to the community.

The devs take cheating/hacking very seriously.

If you suspect someone of cheating, use the tools provided to report them. You can do this in-game via the scoreboard (press ALT to make it interactive), or by visiting the Replay section of the official website, finding the game and reporting the player from there.

Alternatively, you can PM myself or another staff member here with name of the suspected player and the timestamp of the game. We’ll look into it and forward it onto the devs if necessary.

But just to let you know, don’t name and shame here in the forums as that’s against the rules.

I hope this helps.

Yes, they are too laxed on them. I just literally encountered a couple of cheaters not that long ago. Either they are letting the kids get off easy or no one is reporting on them. Eh

Did you report them?

The tools are out there and are being used, yet the game uses two anticheats and they still arent detected.

i think its a joke that the outlisted sheet only shows who the players reported, wheres the ones from that the anticheat catches?

I have no problem recording and sending evidence of a player cheating, but I think Gaijin should improve its detection system, sometimes the community is asked to do work that is not our responsibility, I honestly feel that the report is not serving any purpose.

I always report people who are clearly cheating, but it’s useless and honestly what happened last night made me angry, because they are players that I have already reported about 5 times, and they keep playing, so what’s the point of reporting and blocking players??

Are you one of those players who say there are no cheaters? If you don’t like what I post just ignore it.

maybe they are not cheating and you just suck?

i saw more people complaining about cheaters on forum than i actually saw cheaters in game. i have no problem being first in my team for over 90% of the matches and winning vast majority of matches(WR 75-80%). that is with me sucking with aiming and in long range engagement. if game is infested with cheaters then they really suck…

So watch the replay for the player, throw a report, the game and the system gave you the TOOLS to punish cheaters. As a last resort, you can record the screen, make a video so that others can understand WHO and WHAT it is about. So far, this is an empty concussion and an attempt to blame everyone. I have concerns that you were killed by an esports player → you got a tilt - > you came here, but again there is no subject for discussion. I know for sure that if you record the screen (it’s buggy) but the aimbot can be determined and then you will throw it here, maybe the game masters will look at it and solve your problem. That’s all.

It’s obvious that you have no idea how cheats work, many cheats use a tool to make an aimbot not noticeable when you see it in a recording, unless they are very blatant cheaters.

Of course, you are the light and try to tell me about silent “aimassist”, where the cheater can choose a body part and customize the targeting sensitivity (which we condemn of course)
But I hasten to disappoint you, I kept servers in Dayz for 3 years in Arma 2, I have seen so much software from players on MY game server that you have never dreamed of: dupes, abuse bugs, even an attempt to hack our admin panel. So calm down and either close the topic and don’t embarrass yourselves, or give a NIKNAME so that we can watch the replay, REPLAY link or VIDEO, otherwise, as I said above, it amounts to air shaking = useless. But you have yet to provide a single piece of evidence to prove your point, yet you are pouring accusations on everyone. You haven’t even done the basic things that the community can do to help you.

When you report a suspect player via the in-game or replay tools, that report goes directly to the devs. They look into the report and take action as necessary.

Not all suspect players are actually cheating. They just might be a very good player who knows the maps, where the likely chokepoints or flow of enemy players are, or have an acute knowledge of their weapons and vehicles etc.

Remember, there’s not an anti-cheat program in existence that is 100% foolproof, which is why the devs give us the extra tools to help locate and eradicate dodgy players from the game.

As far as I know, the game only uses BattlEye now. EAC is defunct, though the files are still present in the game folder.

I have a view on this…

See, I recently brought new mates in the game. I accompany them in matchs. They finally reached br3.

In br 3 ppl have a bit more experience than br2, it’s logical.

Often my mates cuss and say stuff like “**** must be cheating, no way those **** can be that quick, I claim aimbot, I got 40 kills and he got 100!”

Then I look at the score tab and true enough, mate got 40, best enemy got 100…

… But I got 150+, without vehicle use…

…

And I don’t cheat. Just armed to the teeth and play since 4 years.

So my point is: perhaps more often than not, those “cheaters” are merely veterans with quick reflexes.
I’m probably causing a lot of angst myself to the enemy players without even knowing.

I think you clearly misunderstand how hard it is to make an “invisible aimbot” in a game with bullet travel time, where you have to lead people by meters ahead to hit

You do realise some players have been no-lifing this game for years at this point, right?

yep, pretty much, all just desperately running at them on foot trying to cap as most of the team watched grass grow on the sides or something lol

I immediately suggested changing the anti-cheat because the current anti-cheat could be hacked in other games
and therefore we need an anti-cheat like skynet

even if anti cheat detects cheaters they wont ban them immediately. they do this in ban waves so cheat makers dont identify method of recognition and make them invisible again. not to mention there are DMA cards that make cheats practically undetectable.
