The accuracy of this gun is disaster level, many times it can’t do the job as a gun, I don’t ask for horizontal and vertical recoil changes, I just ask that the accuracy can be restored to normal level.

Medium range, continuous fire, aim at the center(crosshair control in the black circle)
Its extremely slow rate of fire, unmanageable horizontal recoil, and catastrophic accuracy make it almost unusable.
Perks help, as with most guns people complain about… I love this squad, even with HMG nerf.
My opinion is that he should be the most accurate machinegun in the game because of its rate of fire.

RL Fire rate of Chauchat was 280-300. Complain to the French that they built this gun.
Who cares? Unlockable campaign f2p weapons should be superior anyway. Chauchat is super old premium gun (that you can’t longer buy), literally nobody cares about it. Everyone knows that Chauchat is bad.
In addition to having the lowest rof of any lmg and the smallest magazine, the chauchat also has the worst accuracy of any magazine fed mg in-game. It’s irredeemably bad in all categories, with all the penalties of an lmg and none of the benefits.
At the very least it would be nice if it has some accuracy in single fire. It doesn’t even have to be good, just maybe not terrible

Not against your suggestion, i think that lmg shot dispersion needs to be at least adjusted a bit in regards to all LMGs
But anyone here who says that low rounds per minute is a straight up upgrade in terms of accuracy is wrong.
If we’re going to be realistic, Chauchat is using long recoil system that means that the bolt and barrel are traveling to the full length together then barrel moves forward and bolt picks up a new cartridge and then fires a new round. That in itself makes a huge chunk of mass plus recoil hit you really well.
A barrel moving while its being fired also means that you will compromise some of accuracy compared to …say semi auto guns like M1 Garant or SVT-38 that have gas operating system and a fixed barrel so the accuracy is much better
Here’s a short video so you can get the idea, in my opinion …there needs to be less shot dispersion that’s for sure, but in terms of realism Chauchat’s mechanic doesn’t really allow it to be much of a steady, very accurate weapon
So to sum it up, its a cool weapon, i like it, it needs less shot dispersion but still shouldn’t be really a super accurate LMG for its rate of fire.
Just dont buy the worst LMG of all time. At least not while expecting it to be good, let alone awesome.

I don’t think it can be accurate. Especially a 8mm full power round at full automatic. Doesn’t seem right for it to be accurate.
Who had this gun, what campaign? can you still get it?
What are you on? They should be held by the same standard of f2p squads, not less than it. If you want to continue playing this game f2p, then you need people who purchase these things and they should be at least on par with f2p squads. If this was a b2p or a subscription based game, then we shouldn’t need all this monetization, but it’s not.
