The total plane limit for each team should still remain at 2 and no more, but instead of the limit being 1 fighter and 1 attacker, it should be 2 of any plane.
This is because some planes, like the new 50mm Me262, isnt really a “fighter” aircraft at all and more suited at attacking tanks than dogfighting.
I would be more afraid of 2 fighters in the sky given how the playloads on those have been powercreept with each new addition.
If the enemy runs 2 cluncky attacker than just spawn in a fighter and dunk on them or build an AA gun which can kill all bomber before they are able to drop (unless they got rockets but that is another problem).
Stuff really does come around, it was like that, IDK, 3 years ago? Then they change it to the current system.
There are already plenty of airplanes doing both at once very well, be it P-38 in both roles or the IAR being THE Axis plane for the entirety of low BR. So, frankly, this distinction could disappear for all I care, as it’s mostly meaningless.
