Change the order of stats on the scoreboard. (So the focus shifts AWAY from kills.)

Unfortunately, a lot of games put all the emphasis on how many kills you get. However, with Enlisted there is so much more than just kills, but players seem to get tunnel vision, only focusing on the kills. There is some psychology behind it, but long story short is that the first thing on the list is always regarded as the highest priority.

So, if the scoreboard layout were to change:

  1. Objective points
  2. Objective Kills
  3. Engineer Points
  4. Vehicle kills
  5. Kills
  6. Assists
  7. Deaths
  8. Score

This could help shift players focus away from farming kills and instead playing the objective and supporting the team.

Shooting should be the most enjoyable and most important aspect of every fps (first person SHOOTER) game, sorry to tell you.

I’d say give less points for non objective kills (perhaps none??) when people would hit bottom with highest kill score that would make them think

Yes. Best thing to do on a game based on grind is to cut the rewards from the playerbase…

Because only the objective is important. And not the area around it…

What a great idea. And for not building a single rally point during whole battle, perma ip ban.

You are joke.

the grind isn’t even that bad get good

You trying to lecture a player that has everything maxed about the grind…

The grind isn’t an issue for me, but for the average player is a problem. Cutting the rewards for them is a mistake. Not for me, not for you, for them.

yeah i know and maybe you’re right, although OP has a point too, i didn’t even know captures are shown it the scoreboard until recently and I BET average players won’t even realize until ever.

Yeah, but they are probably ignoring whole scoreboard as well. :person_shrugging:‍ So why do you even care?

i don’t think so

because matches are supposed to be win and people who doesn’t even know that there’s something to be done outside of kills only are not helping.

we already had buff points for destroying vehicles and oh boy i have so much joy seeing people with high kill score somewhere below them

they cannot brag anymore it’s so beautiful

u good? obviously, but the point is to win. otherwise let’s just make regular DM without any objectives and it would be cool then

So basically robbing everyone of theirs enjoyment is okay. You’ll get higher chance to win and that’s what matters. We get it, not a selfish person at all.

You’ll end up winning only against bots in completely dead game.

Already the case so cant worse.

well it’s not my point, and my suggestion above obviously ain’t perfect and by no means i do say i want that in game, all i want is more incentive for players to play objectives and focus to get kills around the objectives at least. Not like doing the complete oposite. This is objective game modes after all so lets focus on that, many players don’t, they either don’t care or don’t know about. From personal experience i can say that at the beggining i didn’t understand objectives completly, i was kinda lost in the match, was just running and gunning, so it def needs some improvement, and the other thing is brag, i am on fb enlisted group and lot of people there are bragging how much kills they got, all i mean is ok, let them have those kills, but lets not put them highest in the scoreboard as it isn’t most important thing in current game modes. If it were deathmatches i would be def cool about it. Highest scoreboard players should be the ones that actually brought real value into the match, and this would be obj. kills, captures, vechicle destroyed.

On a 10v10, not everyone is needed to be inside or push a point.

A guy doing the cleaning, is as, or even more important than the one that follow behind and stay on point.

Everything as a place. That’s the beauty of this game 101.everything working for the common objective. Even the guy that kills a single dude with his scope rifle 39260 miles away, maybe that kill alone was enough for another player to have a clear path to the point. But, we rather say they are useless based on our agenda.

But yes, even more xp for kills or actions or capture inside points, could push more people into it. Even tho i would probably stay more focused on kills, because it’s fun as hell.

If a team, imo ofc, looses because one player was focused on kills, that team didn’t deserve the win to begin with.

Some people may play for an experience or completeing the objective or teamwork

If people ONLY played for kills then cod would be a better game for this

Let’s keep it on topic here guys.

The topic is NOT about Changing the amount of points,

Its about changing the order of stats on the scoreboard.

It doesn’t penalize players, or even give more incentive in the form of points. Its simply to shift the focus of players away from solely trying to get the most kills, and instead focus on helping at the objective or supporting their team.

If YOU want to focus only on getting kills, that’s up to YOU. However, there is actual psychology behind what I am saying that does affect the average player. I’m suggesting it in an attempt to get more players to interact with the game in a way that yields a higher rate of success for a win without making gamebreaking changes.
