This weapon should definitely be moved to BR2. Sure it has 10 rounds but its ROF is very low and its sights are poor at best. In BR3 I see no reason to use this over a No4 Enfield or Garand.
Atleast in BR 2 you would have the choice of the Ross rifle with higher ROF and better sights or the higher magazine and bayonet of the SMLE.
All sliding bolt action rifles should be on br 1-2, even Lee Enfield should not be played against fg 42 2 level weapons, gewehr 43 and svt 40 should be moved to 3 br, similar to m1 garand.
The Hei is a weaken stand in for a G41/M1 carbine if anything, Which is good as it was placed at B.R 2
The Ostu is as equally weak due to bad iron sights, 5 round mag. Standing in for the ZH-29, Could fit in B.R 2 easily
and the M1 garand with 10 rounds isnât really that great as itâs just an M1 garand copy. Could be placed at B.R 3 and be the last Japanese rifle.
IMO: Japan really needs an FG-42/m2 carbine style weapon, Perhaps one with a small mag size at IV, and one with a 30 round mag at B.R V when it appears.
Only problem is: Japan really didnât have anything like that, people have been suggesting what seems to be a Type 99 rifle with an LMGâs mag, Which could be automatic or semi automatic from what people are saying on the weird thing.
Another thing they really should do is take the two HEI GO and turn them into TT guns, Both would fit perfectly into B.R 3 or 4
So my line up would go
all the bolt actions - T1-2
Type Hei and Ostu - T2
M1 garand with 10 round - T3
Type Hei with ext mag - T3
Type Hei Late - T4
Hopefully semi/auto rifle - T5
Remember, The G41 is Tier 3 and it has 10 round mags.
The m1 garand is only 2 short from a ten round mag.
SVT-38 has 10 round mags.
Japan got the middle finger from the devs and itâs stupid.
I actually just looked at it again. It is the SLOWEST firing allied rifle in the game. What is this doing in BR3? Same with the German VG2, they should not be BR3 weapons.
You know, I can understand the mindset of " more ammo=faster squad wipe power.
But when it comes to bolt actions and semi auto rifles as well, magazine capacity is not all, what makes or breaks a rifle is a combination of capacity, reload speed and effective firerate.
Well there are some rifles that without a doubt perform better than others. But drawing the line with bolt action rifles in particular is rather difficult.
I personally dont even see bolt actions fit in BR2 with a handful of exceptions ( example the mighty Mannlicher ), BR3 however? Yeah that makes zero sense.
Japanese rifles definitely need to be moved down a bit. But kinda unrelated, I wouldnât mind seeing the Type Ko Rifle added to the research tree. It has a nice design, firing sound, and just looks like a Japanese rifle in spirit.
Not all since event gewehr 98 war mod with 20 rounds is br II, same with founders pack k98 with 20 rounds and springfield air service from founders packâŚand those are heavy hitting bolts. I donât have a clue why SMLE or Lee are on br III.
ALL bolt-action should be max br II
Basically RNG just decided. They needed to put certain number of rifles to BR2 and certain number of rifles to BR3.
Since BR2 would be bloated with so many rifles, they put some of those to BR3.
Btw. Itâs still better scenario than with sniper garands. Literally only scope makes difference between BR3 and BR5.
