Change point system to area system

Point areas are narrow. Enemy team somethimes all gather in points and cant counter the attacks from flanks. Players just dont try to defend/ attack flanks and the team which does it more takes matches. In a maps like late war tech normandy /berlin this results with absurd slaughterfests
I suggest area defend system like verdun but larger in depth
Verdun is ww1 game and trench warfare isnot dynamic.
But larger in depth areas are more suitable for ww2 battles.
This will force players to cover flanks and spreadout. Game will be more tactical instead of throwing every firepower you have to narrow spaces.
Imagine an are like this but larger depth:

Doesn’t that game still have cap circles?
At least Tannenberg and Isonzo do.

The game mode is neat though that you push back and forth with multiple objectives that give different bonuses.

Verdun? Yes it have it for non trench zone

Also the cap system in that game lets you punish teams that turtle too hard- if you encircle an enemy point with your own cap points, it’ll decap their point.

The way it works is that each team has an HQ with an array of points between them.
You can only cap points that A. Are connected to your HQ and B. Are adjacent to other points you control.

So on average you have 2 points to defend and 2 points to attack, unless you stretch your lines thin to encircle the enemy and cut them off from their HQ like I said before.

100% mirroring the exact same WW1 style trench warfare approach won’t necessarily fit the WW2 theme, but it’s not like what we have right now fits either.

Verdun is great.
