With the upcoming update soon we will be able to use the ancient “Change Soldier Call Sign Orders” to change our soldiers’ nationality. That means you change your soldiers between American and British and German and Italian vice versa. This is actually a bad idea
You will be able to change any soldier in any squad’s nationality at will, meaning you will be able to create monstrosities and tarnish history. There should be at least some shreds of integrity. Even my own standards aren’t too strict but this is just ridiculous and pushing the line.

Britain and Italy have long been shafted. Many have asked for Britain and Italy to be their own independent factions, but that may not be for a long time. I can settle with Britain and Italy being sub factions, for now for the foreseeable future, but it’s about time we actually have a true solution to this issue; and having soldiers in any squad morph their nationality and disregard the actual history and nationality of these units is not the answer
Add ALL squad types and classes for Britain and Italy in the Research Tree. If you want British or Italian soldiers they should be in British and Italian squads where they belong. If you want to use a British Riflemen squad then you should be able to unlock that squad
Eventually Britain and Italy should have completely independent lines in the Research Tree. They can still be under the Allies and Axis faction, but separating their content allows Britain and Italy to be fully fleshed out as sub factions (until the day they are truly independent)
Like with many things with this update its good that the devs are taking a few steps back as some of their decisions are just absurd. So before this update drops let’s fix and prevent another issue before it starts

No, its not a terrible idea cuz then everyone can play that nation in a country waht he wants, exemple there is one who wants playing in german Italians because he is from Italy so he can “Enlist” Italian soldiers.
And the other thing is they can easily add new country voices in this way too what fought with the german army

Well, since it is just a video game and means nothing on the worldwide stage I think it’s fine if people want to change their nationalities. I took my Chinese Thompson squad, gave them all English names and tried to find the most western looking faces I could find. I even changed the language to English. I had given details on another post about this, and although one dude did seem a little pissed about it, he doesn’t have to play it since it’s on my computer. 
Anyway, that is probably the more extreme of the nationality changes, however I am sure there would be a lot of people who would love to change their Allied squads to British, Canadian or Australian, or German squads to Italian and if it makes their game experience better then I am all for it.

Most of my my squads have a 40/60 split on nationality, so I would use the orders to make them all uniform (all Italians in an Italian squad, all Germans in a German squad, all British in a British squad, and all Americans in an American squad). It just adds authenticity, and cures my OCD for Germans using Carcanos and Americans using Lee Enfields.
Anyone else feel the same way?

Btw. I actually appreciate to have possibility to finally get Italian AT gunner for my Italian premium squads.
Up until the next major update, I was forced to use German ones in most of them

Well, on the other point, this capability is very historical. It’s not historical to use American soldiers in British squads.

This feature is much welcome. I will be eventually able to recruit Italian soldiers for my Italian squads, and create a full Italian lineup, which is impossible up to now.

If you give a shit about historical accuracy, you do not have to do it or do it to retain consistency with in line ups.
