No thanks, 900 is plenty enough and more just gets excessive on the handling. Nobody uses MG 81 because it just bleeds bullets and kicks like a horse

This would make the mg39 and mg45 a lot less unique and would make accurate fire with the mg42 a much harder task, so although it’s not historically accurate to deprive the mg42 of it’s true rpm I feel this way might be better for gameplay.
I don’t want MG42 100 to have such insane rof. Give me MG42 250 and then we can have much faster ROF.
Yes, I think the adjustable fire rate should be an unlockable “equipment” in the menu, just like I think that detachable mags instead of stripper clips reloads should be something to unlock too for some semi-auto rifles (Gewehr 43, ZH-29, most semi-auto soviet and japanese rifles, etc…), because nearly all rifles were reloaded with stripper clips during WW2, spare mags being more expensive to produce, although swapping mags was also a thing, it was less common.
So these rifles should have a different, longer animation ingame with stripper clips as base, with reloading by changing mags as an unlockable equipment.
