I am looking forward to doing the birthday event but please change the 5x Katanas for Japan to 5x event tickets for swords for any nation.
Any Japanese player worth his salt has already equipped all of his troops with the tech tree Japanese swords (Shin Gunto I think they are called).
Katanas are cool in every video game they are in but the Japanese already have tech tree swords, making the katanas really redundant. It would be much better to spread the event swords around to the Soviets, USA/UK and the German/Italians who do not have tech tree swords, and cannot benefit from the added bonuses that swords have over axes unless they get a sword from an event.
The rest of the event looks all good, we just really do not need 5x extra katanas for Japan. Give the players the blue event tickets and allow them to choose which swords they want for which nations.
Every faction gets a little something.
US gets 30.cal Thompson.
USSR gets snail Ppd and Im lazy to look up the full name of the armoured car Germany gets.
5 swords aren’t really unique but they are all Japan gets. Giving swords for each faction would completely take away even this little reward from Japan.
it´s a blatant insult and a “censored you” to all who play japan, c´mon man, you know they can do it better and it´s horrible see how they are neglecting japan
I love a good Katana as much as the next guy and I love Japan but yeah I really don’t need 5x of them for a nation where swords are a solved issue, would much prefer to be-able to choose
The Japanese military’s first standard sword was the kyū guntō, which was used from 1875 to 1934. The kyū guntō was similar in style to European and American swords of the time, with a wraparound hand guard and a chrome plated scabbard.

I think its stupid that japan only gets swords. Like that is the thing japan needs least when they already get practically identical swords from tt. They could have given japan some unique gun or reintroduced chi ha kai for an example but no japan always has to get the shortest end of the stick.
