The main issue tbh is the reloading rate differences and is-2 can only pen turret cheeks frontally. In the time an IS has to shoot a crowd of infantry, a tiger 2 can pull up and shoot an IS-2 3-4 times before the is-2 even has a chance to defend itself. Margin of error in player decision making is a lot more lenient for the tiger 2 than the is-2.

The MP43/1 is also significantly lower in numerical terms than the STG44, after all, it was Germany’s ultimate weapon during the Normandy Campaign, and its current position is really awkward. I hope developers can enhance it at some point in the future, so that it has its own advantages and disadvantages compared to STG44🥺

But introducing something to counter the TigerII without making it into another TigerII, won’t be easy.
Reload time is the winner. Also against infantry I would rather be able to “fire HE faster” than have to “fire a powerful HE” (especially considering the HE bugs in Enlisted).

its alright at anti-tank duty, but at everything else its pretty lack-luster. The long reload really hinders it, and if one of your 4 crew dies, then your in for a painfest. Ive had experience with it in Warthunder against tanks and its also just pretty cool, nothing too special but also not too bad. However against infantry, you might get some cool 20 kill shots once in a while due to the massive 122 shell, but otherwise you will be fully relying on mgs, and its really painful if you have the variant without the hmg on the roof. Not bad, but not great either

Any German BR3 tank can penetrate its front plate or turret near its gun.
The armor is not that good, as long as you know where to aim and the IS-2 is not on the move. Otherwise it can troll you pretty often.
But what’s completely killing the tank is long reload of 122mm gun.
You need to OHK Tiger II. Once you miss or ding, you are dead.

I think the T44 either 85 or 100 versions would be a good fit. For enlisted they have good armour comparable to the king tiger, have good reload speeds, and good mobility. I think they could be a pretty good fit

I’m glad you guys listened to the suggestions of the players, and the production team has proven to be capable of getting a weapon ready in a week or two. So, don’t be so perfunctory in the next update. At the beginning of the release, each faction was given something that was almost useless, and it seemed like only a month to two months of work. If the jet version is combined with this version, it can only be called a “major update”.
Also, don’t forget when the last time tanks were added to the USSR, their tank tech tree hasn’t been updated for more than a year. BR1-3 is even closer to two years without being updated, please consider adding tanks for the USSR, they did not lack experimental vehicles during World War II.
same problem with long reload, only this time its amplified, and worse armour. Its a funny meme cannon, and can work but as an effective tank its questionable

Actually, you said it very well, and by the performance of the second assault gun (I took it to all the BRs and drove it), I am very sure that in addition to his fragile armor and open-top problems, he is almost an infantry nightmare, and can sometimes kill tanks with high BRs. 8S one shot, 150mm, BR2, very scary.
