:warning: While everybody is geeky and dorky yet again for no good reason.

:video_game: This is you (official forum - yes, you mfs):

“Enlisted is the number one WW2 historically accurate FPS simulator.
We should never had AK-47 one shots, but more of bolt action rifles with pistol damage”.

"Enlisted is an arcade like WW2 shooter - it should be fun, why you have nerfed the HE that gave me 15 kills at each shot!? "

:boy: Meanwhile, average noob:

“Enlisted, got from Steam. Free FPS shooter. Fun, will play again next week for 2h.”

:exclamation:Can we stop wasting time and talk about meaningful changes/mechanics?

:hammer_and_wrench: Proposal: Streamlining Soldier Perks Selection

The current perk system has some frustrating mechanics that could use improvement. The current perk tree adds unnecessary micromanagement. Not everyone wants to manually optimize every soldier.

:repeat: Previous System:

Soldiers gained perks random perk each time they leveled up, for every level respectively.

:brick: Current System:

Now, each soldier has a perk tree. While the idea is interesting in theory, in practice it adds unnecessary complexity and micromanagement—especially when basic mechanics (like ladders) remain broken for extended periods.

:jigsaw: The Problem:

The perk system, while well-designed for depth, demands too much time from players who just want efficient, straightforward progression. Not everyone wants to meticulously customize every soldier.

:white_check_mark: Suggested Solution:

Implement an auto-select perk system based on simplified, role-focused choices—similar to the “Equip Best Available” and “Buy Best Available” options for gear.

Example for Assaulters:

  • :man_running: Fast & Fragile – High speed, lower health
  • :balance_scale: Balanced – Moderate speed and health
  • :gun: Aim-Focused – Better accuracy, slower speed, more health
  • :twisted_rightwards_arrows: Hybrid – Good aim and speed, but lower health
  • :man_climbing: Vertical Mobility – Faster climbing (e.g., “Swiss Alpine Training”)

This keeps flexibility while reducing micromanagement. Players who enjoy deep customization can still tweak perks manually, but others can opt for quick, sensible defaults.

:arrows_counterclockwise: Other way to look at it:

Add an auto-select perk system with role-based presets—similar to “Equip/Buy Best Available.”

Example (Assaulter):

  • :man_running: Speed Demon – Fast, low health
  • :shield: Tank – Slower, high health
  • :gun: Sharpshooter – High accuracy, balanced stats
  • :man_climbing: Climber – Faster vaulting/climbing

This keeps depth for min-maxers while giving casual players a “just make it work” option.

:loudspeaker: Request:

Please consider adding this quality-of-life improvement to make perk selection less tedious.

This is truly a great decision. Good thing you not only backed out in time from an absurd step, but also replaced it with a new, sensible content. Now Soviets will have their historical counterpart to the other 20-round tier V rifles in the game. This is how you make balance - by adding more historic weapons, having in mind what kind of guns the game currently needs.

Wait, what? Darkflow was removed from the game? How, when?

I’m wondering if the PPsH (S) was a diversion - “lets give them something so outrageous they’ll all get upset and then we can magnanimously remove it showing how wonderful we are”…

coincidence-i-think-not
Pretty interesting to consider but if they did plant the ppsh41(s) as a diversion then that would mean they understand the community and that’s very unlikely.

When did you bring these updates? Only after this BP ends?

No release date yet.

so far the updates comes around when the battle pass gets renewed but sometimes things come up

my mistake it’s not really removed but from the DF team there are probably two developers and a janitor left while the rest is filled with gaijin employees

probably seeing the recent changes in the developers’ approach I would say that those responsible for the disastrous 2024 were probably punished with crucifixion next to the coffee machine as a warning to others

Chat, this is NOT how we have a reasonable dabate about a topic. If you blacklist those who disagree, you will have a narrow world view.

If people did this we could end up in 1984 lol

Wouldnt it be the same thing as saying “no” without saying anything else?

Replacing the Jagdpanther rehash with something NEW would be much better

I believe in turning the premium into the rarer commander version and making the previous one a TT vehicle, then there’d just be the question if they should be moved to BR 4 or not…

On the one hand they’d be God-tier in BR 4 and would upset the balance there, but one hand they’re rather shit for BR 5 due to weak armour on the top (easy meal for aircraft guns) and lack of a turret for… what advantage exactly? It’s smaller I suppose, easier to hide or take cover…

There are already prototypes of powercreep stuff for the US tech tree, which is NOT of the WW2 type.

Absolute mistake: Why can’t we just have both of them?

Why does every unique, fun weapon have to be part of a FOMO event that demands you play nonstop for a whole month?
In my opinion, a suppressed tech tree weapon would have been a unique and valuable opportunity for players to change their tactics. 5 extra rounds on the worst full auto rifle in the game is basically nothing.
And if things that are ‘unique’ and ‘rare’ aren’t allowed on the tech tree, why do we have the T20, the FG42s, the Hyde SMGs, basically the sum total of high tier japan, the LITERALLY POST WAR JET PLANE and the complete joke that is the Ofenrohr on non german nations.

I mean not going to disagree to all those, but tf are you going to do with a stuka zu fu(ss/B) in game?

Weapon that didn’t exist is not “unique” or “fun”.

If it did exist, you are most welcome to provide evidence.
