A dot in the middle of the screen to make it easier to see where my soldier will aim at and to make hip fire more viable for shotguns.
Maybe not for multiple reasons.
The point of the game is to be semi-realistic, and in real life there are no crosshairs.
If you want crosshairs, tape a dot to your screen where your sights are.

Just physically put a dot on your screen with a sharpie. Or if you’re like me and you don’t want to clean the dot after every session, cross two pieces of string over your screen and tape them to the corners. Do that long enough and hip fire will become second nature to you and you won’t need these “hacks” anymore.

Center dot is not for realism purposes, center dot is to avoid motion sickness.
We are looking at 3D elements over a 2D surface after all
There are some programs that let you put a crosshair on the screen if you desire
