Also, I have no clue how they’re going to handle factions and alliances when the game will move forward towards the cold war and modern era.

Isn’t necessary actually, if Italy if even separated stay a sub faction of Germany it can simply be fixed at the BR3 or BR4, outside the main faction, sub faction shouldn’t fill all 5 tier
And this open the door for add all nation who can fill at least 3 BR as long they stay in the same matchmaking queue of their main nation
