im creating defenzone with respawn point, anytime i create the box inside bunker, bots seem to come only on top of the bunker and never come inside to capture. How to fix this?
Also how to set initial camera point on start?

also cloning mg42 on building putting it on sandbag doesnt open the use menu, or creating new stationary_mg42 rotating it, then camera looking completely different direction and its not usable at all. How to create new stationary gun that points certain direction and works righaway after rotation?
Try lowering the height of the point so it doesn’t touch the roof.
The camera from the start is called static_cam. You just need to move it where you want. The direction of view is the blue line.
So far, I have not found a way to create new interactive objects such as stairs, doors, or machine guns. Perhaps they will explain to us how to do this in the future.

Didnt work after firstplace, maybe after I added battle area polygons, after restart it actually worked.

Im still getting one red error when it starts - cant find nearest navmesh position for capzone… any idea whats missing there?
simple, i had that " issue " as well,
do this:
place the sandbag, and then the gun.
rotate them to fix in position.
( or just use the sandbag with the machinegun in top )
once the position is correct, even if you used it and it’s effed up, save, and use the button " restart " on top right.
that way will locate the machineguns as it should faced the way you want them to
Hi, Do you test the NavMesh? It seems AI soldiers only walk straight lines without Navmesh.

dont know what is navmesh yet and why when i create defend zone it raises this red warning on top about navmesh… hope to see some guide here
I also have not done game development, in my understanding navmesh is used for pathfinding
It seems navmesh error goes away when you create battle area that contains that defend_zone_chained_box - i use battle area box - extremely practical, but since you click somewhere in the big zone you always select it, you might delete it by mistake. (it would be practical to disable them all like polygons via toolbox button) .
Its true that AI go in straight lines in battle area and lie in front of the bunker or dont clear the bunker and occupy only one room, sometimes there are 2 different team bots in room next to each other they dont clear themselfs until someone third comes. - It would be very practical to know how to set few alternative paths they go trough, first clear the bunkers and so on… and why they dont use artillery and bombings etc… to get to that realistic soldier behaviour.

And in my mind, the poly_battle_area location is does not matter. The real battle area is decided by polygon point. So you can put ploy_battle_area object aside.
another one - airbox battle zone - no matter how i make it, i put zone as big as possible then I put aircraft respawn point and i get:
can’t find active respawns for icon group 1 type: aircraft_assault
on save and restart doesnt work .
yes, but it seems so many steps, creating points, than just droping box_battle_area way faster (if you consider many sectors and many teams), feature function converting it to poly_ would also help
I have seen this straight line bot movement very clearly while setting up “Blackhole”. So funny to see rows soldiers run to their death in a row, with no hesitation…
Found it is quite important to have walls that the AI can jump over…
You have to make the spawn points of planes either aircraft_assault/fighter. And actually have 2 of them, one for each type.
