I don’t think that’s why there doing this as much as it’s the perception that somebody might have better kit on the other side and it’s making them feel disadvantaged.
IMO, doing away with the immersion factor, that is the campaigns, is a big turn off for me personally.
But I am willing to wait and see how bad it is or how not bad it is before I decide.
Allowing players to choose the maps they want is just going to result in players completely exempting campaigns they don’t like from their queue, which defeats the purpose of an update to the current system.
Number 1 problem is queues are so split, solution is we have to have solely a faction based queue. You can’t allow players to remove maps from their queue.
If that’s true, then forcing people to play on specific maps isn’t going to “save” the game or unite the player base. Taking options away from people usually pi**es them off. The real problem here is attracting and retaining players. Obviously there is another problem here that isn’t being addressed. That’s the problem that needs to be fixed, not throwing everybody into a giant pool to be randomly assigned to a map.
You can’t attract players if people are pointing out major flaws (which this update is fixing) and you can’t retain players if they can’t find matches (which this update is fixing)
Funny, other games don’t have an issue, so why would Enlisted?
That too, which is a problem in itself.
No one wants to enter a match and get stomped just because people are running around with MG42s gunning down my men while I’m stuck with bolt actions (which are fine in the hands of a good player, but new players aren’t good. Getting curbstomped in your first several matches is a huge turnoff for anyone)
Fair enough, but at the end of the day, the gameplay should come before historical accuracy
Actually keofox never confirmed this, only one of the helpers said they believe it to be that way. Keofox only said ground under your feet will be appropriate for the faction, which means Germany will go to Moscow, Stalingrad, Tunisia, Normandy and Berlin. USSR will go to Moscow, Stalingrad, and Berlin. Allies will be Pacific, Tunisia and Normandy. Japan will be the only nation to pick what maps they want which is Pacific.
