All HE shells fired from cannons seem to be able to detonate on infantry. Infantry is a soft target, and the human body does not provide enough resistance to detonate an HE shell.
HE shells should quite literally pass through infantry without detonating, as the body is not a solid enough object to provide enough force for the fuse to work. above: shell detonation chart for a shell with a 15mm fuse
Generally, infantry is not a hard enough target for any in-game shells to detonate on.
Most He shell would be fitted with impact fuzes far more sensitive as that.
Just because APHE uses fuzes to delay the explosion (to stop the detonation before armor of the tank has been breached) does not mean that normal HE rounds have the same thing stoping them from exploding aswell.
Normal HE would have a more sensitive impact fuze so your picture would not apply to them.
WT has the fuze for HE listed as 0.1 mm and that is something your body could most likely set off.
Yes I mean isn’t it strange that chi-ha short gun cant do sh*t even though it has almost 2.5 KG worth of TNT at least make these tanks with above 1 KG tnt do something to tanks
yup. Many times I’d watch a shell impact right next to soldiers, but do nothing. Yet when a shell impacts a living solider, everyone and their babushka within 3km is obliterated.
