Canadian squad idea

Canadian soldiers played a key role in several battles including normandy, pacific and North Africa. with these campaigns being featured in game, their inclusion is long overdue.

To include these over 1 million hero’s ill be introducing a squad featuring the Huot automatic.

The huot automatic was a full auto conversion of the ross rifle which many one you might be familiar with. It was made during ww1 as a way of making a lmg. The Huot automatic has a 25 round drum mag and a firerate of 475rpm, would be a great way of showing a cool conversion of a holt action rifle to lmg much like the Charlton while also introducing Canadian soldiers to the game

Thank you for your post. I very strongly support your idea, particularly as Canada is one of Australia’s Commonwealth mates.

The Huot is a good idea, are you proposing it be a premium or tech tree?

At the moment its insane that the Ross rifle does not feature a Canadian squad and the Owen gun does not feature an Australian squad.

There should be AT MINIMUM one squad for each Commonwealth nation where appropriate. The other immediately obvious one is British Indian Army for the Vickers-Berthier. Not sure where New Zealand or South Africa would currently fit.

The main idea would be unlocking specifically Canadian/Australian/Indian etc… squads with their specific nation weapons (because literally no one else used the Ross, Owen and Vickers-Berthier respectively), while in customisation we should have the freely available option to choose a Commonwealth uniform for each nation.

Each nation would have a free default uniform, beyond that specific customisation could work as normal with appearance orders.

Id suggest the following uniforms to be included for USA-UK tech tree:

  • USA
  • UK
  • Scottish specific (i.e kilt, tam o shanter hat, maybe bagpipes as an event unlock or something)
  • Australia
  • Canada
  • New Zealand
  • British India
  • South Africa

I agree! Long overdue, but not just them we need at least 2-3 squads for them and the Australian mates. A good 3-5 weapons/vehicles would be good for them. We already have the own as a GO and a TT. Why not add more?
