OBT is coming soon, and still no in game communication improvement?
Also the built in voice chat system is still a placeholder, and most annoying thing is that the voice chat is toggle to on/off, not press to speak, and icon is so small that some one just forget their mic is on.

Voice chat in any FPS is a mistake.
See COD, or BF, or OW, or any online game with public voice chat in the game.
Voice chat is the only redeemable thing about CoD at this point.
Being able to talk to your opponents with VC would probably be a mistake, yes. I don’t mind letting players send text messages to the enemy, though.

Voice chat is a neccesary function in modern online FPS games. I dont see any online FPS games that failed to support voicechat functions. Though it can be very toxic. But you can use mute functions as well.

It being ““toxic”” isn’t an excuse since you can just block them if you’re averse to banter and spicy memes.
People seem to forget you don’t actually have to listen to people you don’t want to. They just get off on reporting them to get them banned instead of just muting them.
The button is there for a reason, people.

although, i used the voice chat sometimes, and also others people use it sometimes.
but that’s basically it.
i have one suggestion that it might be usefull. such as Proximity chat. so you don’t have to speak to the whole team when you have to make a close callout and make half of your team worried when they are trying to understand if the call-out was for them or for someone else.
I know it can be changed, but for default settings, that’s toggle… which can cause new players not know they accidentally turned mic on.
Also proximity voicechat like RS2 (Rising storm2) 3D VOIP can be a really fun features that both friendlies and enemies can hear you. Also RS2 provide regular team chat as well (but for enemies, the proximity chat is forced on).

If this gets added i’m gonna blast “SOMEBODY ONCE TOLD ME THE WORLD IS GONNA ROLL ME” on repeat with a 24/7 active mic in every battle while charging people with SMGs.
