When can we reasonably expect the bots to get an intelligence upgrade?
I understand not making bots so good they they become aim bots, but when a squad is in a confined space and one guy enters the room and shoots all the AI with a bolt action rifle one at a time and they just stand there staring at a wall, I get so frustrated I wonder why I even have a squad in the first place. Setting aside all other bot issues, can we at least up their aggressiveness when under direct threat so one guy standing in a door with no cover can’t as easily wipe a whole squad?
An excuse for many matchmaking issues people bring up is the player-base isn’t large (which is totally valid) but how many people come play this game, see the AI on their team act like concussed varmin and uninstall the game?
AI is the main thing that really makes Enlisted unique from other titles. Doubling down on the efforts to make them as good as they can be seems far better for player retention than focusing on this merge, which is really only a matchmaking improvement to optimize a small player base.
Dude, you are asking the same Devs who can’t fix the game without adding new bugs and reverting old bugs back to the game, just chill and spend that 50 bucks for the next “major update” premium
But yeah seriously, lower your expectation, since having zero expectations still can get disappointed in this game lmao
The last time I made a complain about AI my post got deleted, ignored, got bunch of warnings from moderators and sometimes getting muted in the Enlisted Official Discord, you know how they work eventually
I would love to spend that much money to support the game/development but only if I know it will actually improve something. I’m sure many others are in the same boat. Until then I’m more on the lookout for micro-transactions with Enlisted.
it seems that dumb bots support fast gameplay, which probably suits the developers, adding a lot of weapons only enhances this style of gameplay, which doesn’t suit me at all, the game is too shallow for me, until it changes I won’t buy anything in this game
I’m good for a $9 battle pass, especially since you get some (potentially all) gold back. But I’ll pass on the $30 individual squads. I could buy a fully developed game for that price.
Yep, it’s sad but it’s true… and at some point in turns ridiculous and funny, 'cause you expect old bugs to dissappear, but they keep coming back.
I’m in the same boat, not going to spend more money when I’m not seeing actual improvements, just new additions with new and old bugs, over and over. But what I think is shameful AF is the prices they have for premiums squadrons knowing that the game still in BETA. That says quiet a lot of the devs and the snail… With that money you can buy new AAA games.
Or the bug where AP mines are not in soldiers’ inventory after you reload the weapon.
Supporting it hasn’t done anything useful yet, they tell you: “Bugs fixed” and a couple of weeks later you suffer them again. So I’m starting to think that they’ll start improving the game when they start feeling money choked.
Supports devs and game itself. Just think of all this as a brain videogame, where the more you kill the more you feel you’re getting good at it, then you decide to buy the premium account 'cause you’re making 85+ kills per game, so why not take advantage of those points you’re losing? And at the end you decide to buy a few premium squads because they give extra points and they have wEaPoNs tO ColLeCt (yeah the same thing NFT buyers keep saying to excuse themselves).
So dumb bots are a good point in the game, 'cause you keep creating free dopamine and the ilusion that you’re an amazing player.
CBT almost felt like a “semi RTS”, moving your AI squad to the correct spot would apply pressure to the battlefield, I actually felt like a squad commander that supported my AI rather than my squad supporting me.
Anyone remember Full Spectrum Warrior? Looking back it doesn’t really hold up but it had some interesting ways to command your squad and when you told them to hold a position it would show you where they would stand. Sort of interesting.
