Given how they removed the HE round for the 50mm I was wondering if it is still capable of killing planes with the APHE.
The short description does mention that it can fight bombers but now without HE I doubt that.
Well. given how they changed the ammo loadout without any warning I should refrain from spending any money on it until they get their shit together.
But it still was bothering me as the removal of the HE really turn it into a duck with the same usefullness if no tank is present.
It can still kill planes if you are accurate

Yeah it can. I watched Quadro on YT do it reasonably successfully the other day. It isn’t an ideal dogfighter though.
Those who asked for the removal of HE had no idea how things work.
Or were mains of opposite factions wanting the plane to be near worthless…
It needs it’s test server original belt back, OR devs need to let players choose their loadouts.
Well, they just saw a higher number in the spreadsheet. And they were completely oblivious to any context.
From what I have read, there are some that still prefer the AP belt change because it means they get slightly more “chance” to get a damaging shot inside a tank when they strafe.
Thing is If your approach angle/aim isn’t right, you still aren’t going to get a tank kill as some have been finding out.
With the Right Angle with AP/HE you would get the kill anyway,
With a full AP belt, the Only difference is now, to get a few extra “chances” to penetrate a tank (that wont help you when lined up wrong), but at the cost of 99% anti infantry potential (I say 99% because obviously a direct hit will kill 1 guy…instead of the 5-10 I was getting on test server)
The Middle ground for both camps was…AP/HE(we both can do what we want)
AP/HE was the only fair choice, but now they have only pleased one small camp and made the plane completely niche
majorly disappointed. The money I gave for it better be spent on choosing your own loadouts and ammo belts
Realistically, they prefer it out of incompetence. Don’t be so polite.
They’ve just turned a fairly versatile aircraft into an aircraft that is completely useless unless someone is in a tank.
Oh Im livid…If I think it would serve me I might start throwing out insults…but I dont.
we still don’t have canister rounds yet, out of basic incompetence.
