Also in the last days germans were so desperate I wouldn’t be surprised they used thsi. Even though soldiers didn’t like it (it was heavy, caused helmet to tilt and cover your eyes and caused pain in the neck).
This is the most “No one asked for this” moment after the ugly tank with american appareance they made for germany
I’m not that sure, since in the end of the war there were plenty stahlhelms that were turned into pots… And those were the most “modern” ones, the ones that lack the piece where that thing is placed… I’m actually disapointed… Even if it’s a free squad, personally it’s kinda a turn off… considering no cosmetics implements were made… Just my personal taste. Guess theres lads who does not mind

No, i mean about the squad’s gear… And if it is about the soviet armour; they could have done plenty stuff for germany rather than this… thanks for your comment lad

but it’s worthed to note that some volkssturm members had world war one helmets ( and even weapons ) prior to their service or literally what they had in the quartermaster.

I just can’t understand how a “probably” sounds more atractive for the devs when making content; when they got like HUGE amounts of historical weapons, tactics and squads to develop historically… If this is not a “Volksstrum” unit. I WILL stop playing. I genuinelly feel this game is not for me now…

most of the squad we’ve got makes no sense with weapons that most likely didn’t even knew the existance of.

I was searchjing and i find a m16 stalhelm whit the funny logo
and this particular model of stahlhelm was the one that could be adapted with the stirnpanzer
Although it does not affirm anything, it can support the theory that it could have been used
And a russian museum have a unit of a stirnpanzer

I saw some of this open eared stahlhelms in mortar crew photos or horse paradeing (also those were used by military police)… BUT, none with the ‘protective’ shield, which untill now i only found in WWI museums or WWI references…
