It could be just some last event before the merge happens to give players who were here before the merge unique stuff, because it is going to have a huge inflow of new players. It doesn’t have to be anything really good, maybe something similar to the founder packs for free in an event, and it doesn’t have to be a squad, it could be a name decorator, decals, portraits, or other things.

If you have a few levels in Stalingrad, you can keep Mannlicher M93 and Soviet Breda 30.
Not to mention that players after the merge won’t have access to multiple squad of the same grade and type like 2 grade 2 engineer squads which is a slim advantage as only grade 2 engineer squad can build mg nest.
Progression is also faster and free of cost at the moment, you can grind BR5 equipment in Berlin and Normandy with skipping half the grind.
You will keep all the starter equipment from campings, starting with PzIV J and T-34/85 dt5 even if you didn’t play Berlin for a second is very decent.

I proposed a unique decal per completed campaign side a while back, think it was at least forwarded to the devs.

you know that make me feel like we can have some sort of kill 1mil soldier(which is not that hard) as an achievement that give unique gun maybe but then again idk if that a good idea
Unique melee weapon, or pistol would be nice.
I would rather take 1x Tiger 2 and 1x Panther to deal with annoying Jumbos
or 3 pz4j into tier 3, or 4 if you have both premium pz4js
