I’m new to this game and recently i’ve watched a video on youtube where a player died and respawned in his friends location, instead of the usual flag far behind. The map was Tunisia conquest. Can I do this in normandy with free account? How does that work?
You can never just spawn onto a friend. There isn’t something like the battlefield squad mechanics that let you do that. There are however rally points, which can be built by players who have engineers in their squads, and act as additional spawn points for the team. These can be built and used far closer to the action than the standard spawn points are, but they don’t move once built, and if the fighting is too close to them they can’t be used at all until things calm down. Engineers are available to anyone free to play and are usually unlocked quite quickly, though in tunisia it takes a good bit longer than the other campaigns.

on Lone Fighters you can spawn on your friends direcly on them if - they are not engaging on a batle. If you queue with a friend, you can spawn on their position
OP - to spawn on others, you have to queue with a friend, if you die you will see his number on the screen and you will be able to spawn in him
As far as i know, you can spawn direcly on friends on LoneFighters Mode only

In all fairness I generally forget that lone fighters mode even exists, since the game doesn’t exactly shine there. If you can do it in conquest squads then that’s a my bad, since I’ve played for a decent amount of time, almost always with friends, and have never actually done that. Will have to test that out when I get the chance.
Razor , my bad, i m probably drunk without even drinking. Its only possible in lone fighters, i have tested it few mins ago.
Donno why i said that. something lead me to belive i was able to spawn on my friend a few weeks ago on a squad conquest map…

That’s squads conquest.
Maybe it was disabled again, I tested it a few hours ago in normandy and I couldn’t.
But I was certain I played with a friend in-game and I could spawn in his location only on conquest.there is also a chance, that it’s only avaiable on tunisia right now.
Either way, yes. That’s conquest squad mode. And that’s the only way to spawn on friendly soldiers. With friends ingsme
Only possible on all maps or modes in lone fighters
And with some limited access to Tunisia or currently disabled on conquest.
FFS, I was sure I was right on that conquest part, but my testings on normandy didn’t gave me the result I was sure I did in the past on a game…

If you can or have a friend online, try to get a conquest match in Tunisia, and try there.
Maybe it’s only possible in Tunis.
There’s also a chance that said option was disabled after the Tunisia test.

It’s possible on squads conquest mode aswell, but only on Tunisia. Unless they give everyone a default squad, just like in lone fighters, then this feature would give a massive advantage to players that play with friends and it already sounds like a really horrible idea.
