Campers, I have the solution for you

I heard that they added the canine squads, for the battle of the pacific, to solve the problem with the campers.

The dog squad will be very useful to find those hidden and entrenched campers.

They can be useful for transporting ammunition from one partner to another that is far away.

They can be useful, to distract the enemy before taking a position or entering an enclosure.

They can be useful for detecting antipersonnel mines, and antitank, and warning the player before they step on them.

It can be useful for transporting medkits to wounded members of other squads.

It can be useful, to finish off enemies wounded in combat.

Among the dozens of reasons why this idea ranges from “bad” to “impractical”, let me just give you a hint of one the most egregious:

You best believe if dog squads are added ima mag dump those poor puppers.

We come here to kill people, not dogs.

Also, the development of dogs \ horses is difficult.

  1. As historically accurate as it would be its too impractical for the game.
  2. Killing dogs is gonna cause a huge outcry about the game.
  3. Am not heartless to shoot at dogs even if its a game.

I don’t play twitter but I heard it’s full of Bots and Nazis too.

Neither do I, but we all have seen enough specimens of randomly offended posts…

Summary

Are you hinting that Twitter may be the next Enlisted campaign?

I remember CoD WaW dogs kill streak, they literally went after campers.

Wait, did they actually ?

Premium players can even sprinkle water at them while yelling “BAD DOG!”

(Sprinklers available in the logistics menu for 3 silver orders each, unlocked at level 38)

Right.

So op completely made up the first statement.

Was obv, but you can never be so sure.

Summary

It’s actually going to be cats instead

Major game like call of duty have attack dogs, did it get much community outcry to stop it from be added to multiple call of duty games?
You are heartless enough to shoot a human by not dogs? They are both your enemy, If you don’t kill them you get killed, this is war!

CoD is CoD and it’s a franchise famous and rich enough to effortlessly shrug off preposterous hate campaigns from minor animal activists groups looking for visibility.

(Because of course any outcry would come down to that.)

Enlisted may not be as solid enough, though.

If a target big as cod didn’t receive any visible hate. What a target as small as Enlisted will receive? Seeing the enormous number of cod player, I think many fps player didn’t even care about killing dog in game.

Fair point.

The cons about difficulty of properly modeling and animating dogs or other animals (not to mention coding their dedicated AI) and making them actually meaningful in game still stand, tho.

Besides, I (and I think many others) wouldn’t want to see matches flooded with packs of dogs, imho they may exist as a gimmick marginal mechanic, like a specialist dog team or such.

Still hope not, though.

That is another topic, what I want to say is just community outcry won’t be a major factor to prevent it being added.

Just add to that good old Soviet AT dogs, so we can get people been mad at virtual dogs blowing up under tanks.

I can already predict how twitter would react to that regardless of how historically accurate it is.

AFAIK that tactic was soon dropped because dogs tended to run under FRIENDLY tanks (which they had been trained with) instead of enemy ones.

Yes, still they did happen.
