Camera annoyance

Every time I shoot the M1912 shotgun, my camera jerks up like it is the gun. In fact, I have noticed this with every gun, as if the camera is tracking the gun at all times.

Instead of jerking the camera up when there is recoil, can the camera just be left alone? It’s not part of the gun, so should it really be rising when I am firing my weapon?

(Does having an aiming deadzone have something to do with this, or is this non-related?)

I’m not quite sure that I understand exactly what you’re talking about, but it sounds like you’re just talking about the vertical recoil. That’s by design to make firing the weapons more realistic.

When the M1912 cycles another shell, the camera makes an odd jerk motion to the side. Maybe I didn’t describe the issue well enough.

it’s called visual recoil.

which it’s an artificial way of tweaking weapons.

it doesn’t affect the normal recoil.

but it’s distinction to force the player to use it in a different manner ( if… they want to see what they are hitting )
