A potential new battle ideas that where key to defeating the Japanese in mainland Asia. The battles would be between British and Japanese military forces. It could include M3 tanks, Indian Squads, urban warfare, and jungle warfare. It would take some time, but its a side of the war that is not talked about in many circles. It may not have limitless potential, but it’s an idea.
British commando troops and Japanese ninja troops clash in the Yeas Deep Jungle. That is pretty cool.
interesting altho im a Thai(i know it about Burma our neighbor) i dont actually know if any Thai participate in that campaign
To be honest I’m not sure, if they were they were more than likely freedom fighters or pressed into frontline service by the Japanese. Unfortunately I’m not a historian, however more than likely British or French MI would have worked alongside said rebels. I’d have to do more digging, what I do know is the Japanese were instigating rebellion inside India to work with insurgent groups, which failed.
Well, Thai troops fought alongside Japanese troops in Burma as Thailand was an ally of Japan at that time.
Your right im reading an article. The war as a whole only list 5,569 military deaths and only and I quote “150 casualties in the Shan states” which is the right area for the Burma Campaign. Not sure how accurate that is. I wish I had a solid lead to help this guy out.
i shiver at the prospect of jungle fighting. i wonder how prolific is the bush camping would be.
on the other hand, the possibility of someone somehow climbing on a tree and snipe from there sounds funny enough.
yea i wanted to buy that but i feel like it a waste unless i can buy it when merge happen
