Bunny Hopping - Spoils so many FPS Games - Please not this one

First week or two of gameplay very enjoyable, but I’m starting to see some ‘fun killing’ exploits
so common in other FPS games now happening here.

Bunny hopping enemies, that seem to have endless stamina.
Bunny hoppers that can shoot on the hop and give 1 shot kills.

Can Jump key be fixed to work only when crossing obstacles.
Disable on flat terrain and rubble mounds?

Seeing a lot of it happening now - super unrealistic, especially those that seem to be able to jump/hop and fire/hit whilst doing so. Stacking Jump perk may be a contributor to this issue.

according to the dev Q&A they will be removing the ability to aim while jumping

Soldier1: Grenade! Jump to cover on your right, and fast!
Sodlier2: We can´t, we have disabled jump ability because we are on flat terrain
Soldier1: Oh, ok… guess we die then, see you on the other side!

While I was just trying to be funny with this example, disabling “jump” would be just as stupid (not to mention amount of bugs that would be caused by fixing jump just on obstacles).

Agree- super unrealistic. Previous serving soldier, WW2 historian, and interviewed many veterans.
Just no way this would happen in RL.

I see your point, and it’s an interesting one. So how do we fix the goons that are kangarooing across the battlefield shooting as they go?

Thats how. That would probably be best solution to this.

It solves some of the issue. My #1 concern is with jump and aim on - HOW, just plain how can these players be aiming and hitting with 1 shot kill while doing that? Some kind of cheat?

There needs to be stronger stamina penalty on jumping as well.

Not too mention it makes be jumpers hard to hit - if this was any way realistic D-Day would have had very few casualties as the allied armies could have just jumped and hopped up the beach and all the way to Berlin.

When it comes to movement, it is actually more profitable just to run, because jump consumes more stamina. But if devs would simply restrict the ability to aim during jump animation, player wouldn´t be able to reliably shoot on the enemy. And even if they would, accuracy would be so poor, that they are going to be just a bunch of entertaining clowns.

Now I want to see this , cmon Holywood, time to make some more historicaly “accurate” movies.

Yes!!! … remake of SPR complete with bunny hopping soldiers …

The phrasing jump grenade usually doesnt refer to jumping up into the air but down onto the ground. meaning prone.

You still jump to the side, you don’t just go prone like you would when going prone ingame.

I agree their should be a running prone dive down that makes you jump forward.

You have grenade near you… what would you do, jump aside to perhaps hide behind whatever you can find or just jump down next to it and praying to all nonexistent gods you know to save you?
You see, no matter how I look at it, disabling ability to jump anywhere is just dumb.

Especially if there is better solution presented already.

Issue is that grenades kinda just kill you even if you lie prone at a little distance, while a normal jump can generally get you out of the blast radius more easily. Grenades aren’t simulated like IRL, and thus this kind of jump to prone would not translate well into the game. As such, it cannot replace a normal jump.

Also, sometimes you need to jump gaps. Wouldn’t be able to do that either if you can only climb things.

Interesting. Ive seen your other comments so I can tell you know more about this game than me but it always seemed to mitigate damage for me. Weird. Just luck I guess.
