I’m REALLY getting tired of being punished for “deserting” when I drop a game because my connection sucks. Not my fault! I am NOT a deserter, nor have I ever ditched a game.
Is desertion THAT prevalent that dedicated guys like me have to suffer for it?

You might just as well except it as it’s not going anywhere. Once DF changes something, they aren’t keen about undoing it. I mean, some people whined about AP mines being to destructive, so DF detuned them from being killers to causing the same amount of damage as a Mosquito bite thus making them fairly useless, but like the penalty they aren’t going to change it back once they changed it. They’ve moved their time onto making the desertion penalty screen look better, you know, important shit like that. 
I’m personally not opposed to penalties, but unless the Dev’s are going to address the reason’s people desert then they are just wasting their time. NTM, I have been booted three of four times because of power or internet outages here in the Philippines, but at this point I really don’t give a shit anymore 
, especially since the Dev’s would rather placate to some then fix the causes people desert in the first place.
