Why this game don’t have bullet in chamber mechanic? When i reload for example G43 with even one bullet inside it should end up with 11 rounds in total.
It’s CBT. This very well could get implemented.
Its the same in war thunder
there are small arms in WT?
Only as decorations but for some tanks if you take 20 shells, the xray will show 20 rounds forgetting the one that should be loaded in your cannon.
You can’t have 1 in the chamber for bolt action or open bolt automatic weapons because when you pull the bolt back to reload through a top loading magazine it ejects whatever is in the chamber.
for some weapons you do get 1 “in the spout” - if you reload a mortar that has any ammo remaining you get 1/10 - 1 loaded 10 available - the normal full load of a mortar is 1/9 - 10 total.
it should be the same for magazine loaded closed-bolt weapons tho’ - dunno if the G43 is one - I suspect it is since open-bolt tends to be only for SMG and LMG
ETA - just read on wiki that G43 is supposed to be reloaded with stripper clips through the open bolt, not a detachable mag (it had one but not used much - only 2 issued per rifle!) - so no, it can’t for the same reasons as bolt action.
yeah G41 had a fixed magazine IIRC and G43 simply had a shortage of magazines.
It wasn’t shotrage, it was intended.
Gun was meant to be loaded by the stripper clips and additional magazine was only in case of original magazine breaking.
It was cheaper to produce stripper clips than to produce magazines.
War time circumstances=/= design
If the gun wasn’t meant to be loaded via external box magazine it wouldn’t have one.
IIRC the original issue amount was 3 with more but the war continued to turn south and that number dwindled to one per gun.
I checked and yeah, you are right.
Whole life in a lie I guess
lol no no. reality and intention are often different.
The G43/G41 design programs were obviously heavily influenced by the self loading rifles the Germans were coming up against, the M1 Garand but more importantly the SVT-40, which had a detachable box magazine aiding in quick reloading.
It’s actually a surprisingly rare (from modern perspective) feature among WW2 weapons.
That being said, I think it’s an important little detail that must be implemented correctly regardless of how rare it is. This isn’t the first time someone brings it up as a suggestion, so hopefully developers are aware of it even if they originally weren’t.
