Building materials need to be stackable... and weapon/grenade ideas

why exactly can’t you build say 2 sandbags on top of each other, or barbed wire… the barbed wire is pretty much useless since you just jump and your automatically free like you can clear 3 or 4 barbed wire placements in a row when you spam spacebar and you only take like 2 hits to your health…

New Weapon idea: Advanced building tool set, Hammer & Shovel, with the shovel you can dig the ground up to 6 feet deep or tall to create foxholes or dirt piles as obstructions for vehicles, (can only dig on Sand or Dirt)

New explosive idea’s: Petard Breaching Charges are used to blow holes in walls so soldiers can use the mouse-holing strategy to avoid enemy fire. Sticky Satchel Charges are used to

S.T. grenade or sticky bomb, pretty self explanatory to anyone who’s up to date on WW2 weapons…

You can stack barbed wire on top of each other to make it more effective.
It would be nice if engineers could dig to make trenches but i think people would find a way to abuse this

you use to be able to stack barbed wire… now it doesn’t stack…

people can find a way to abuse a hamburger but that doesn’t mean its not a good idea :face_with_raised_eyebrow:, honestly though i do get what you mean, they could limit the holes so they can’t be dug within like 5-10 feet of a building, they could also make it so you need to relocate the dirt from somewhere before you can dump it in a pile, digging holes could also use a large amount of stamina so you wouldn’t be able to just dig a 100 foot long trench in minutes.

As long as devs can implement this feature in a babalanced way then i’m 100% in for it.
Is it really not possible to stack thing on top of each other anymore? I can’t check this at the moment.

yea i tried it yesterday and you couldn’t stack em on anything… it really put a damper on my sapping… i use to pair the hedgehogs with the barbed wire to make forward defences for my sandbags so i can place sandbags that won’t just fall apart instantly, and on the subject of sandbags they really need to increase the health of them… like they just instantly fall to shambles as soon as any explosion even remotely comes in contact with em and they shouldn’t just immediately fall apart they should fall apart gradually as the health of the sandbags decrease like every time the health of the sandbag drops 25% it should lose a layer or 2 off the top of the bag pile so you’ll have 3/4 of the original sandbag when its at 75% hp, half of it will remain at 50% hp and so on.

That’s a really good idea on the sandbags. It can be really annoying when you try to fortify a objective for your team just to lose every sandbag to a random explosion, but i think that a direct hit with HE from a higher caliber tank shell should still one shot sandbags every time.

well yea of course the tank shell hits high enough damage there’s no reason why 1 shot (if it hits directly) wouldn’t take the sandbags out lol but like if the tank shoots a couple meters away from the sandbags not hitting them directly it shouldn’t just instakill em… like im always finding that the sandbags will crumble if any explosion’s radius even touches em… which makes them pointless because sandbags are suppose to protect you from stuff like explosive shrapnel but they just fall apart like their made of paper instead…

for the sandbag stacks the devs could make it so the sandbag/barbed wire will snap to the top of the sandbag when placed so it can change them into a modified object since a problem with stacking the sandbags is the one ontop will remain if the bottom is destroyed, but if the game snaps the objects together they can then be linked and share a single health total so the sandbag will be able to gradually be destroyed from the top to the with my previous idea to make sandbags gradually decrease in size as the health decreases

I bet people will use sandbags to get to higher places, more than they already do, so why not add a ladder? I guess it would be a nightmare for AI but another way to attack objectives could make camping harder and people would think about blocking windows.
Also currently barbed wire has more health than sandbags and I think that hedgehogs definitely should be destructable( 2-3 explosives or massive tank shells).
PLEASE remove AI ability to destroy structures( builded sandbags randomly on a field, started running around and 2/10 were destroyed).
Love the sticky bomb idea but should be somehow balanced so not every soldier can 1hit a tank.

They generally must add more to build than “curved wall” sandbags.

Instead of stacking it, it would be pretty cool to create structures by placing them on top of each other, like a wall with slits, or a big loop hole for MG’s that is covered by the sides.

Or fortify them more, so they can take 2 - 3 explosions before being destroyed. Same with Ammunition.

  1. Depot = Standard Ammo
  2. Depot = Special Ammo (Flamethrower Fuel, PIAT grenades)
  3. Depot = Refill for useables like Handgrenades.

i already do block windows with sandbags… its a very effective way to protect a forward spawn beacon in a house :grin:
