Buffs for autocannon veichles and SPAAs

Improvement for autocannon veichles and SPAAs should happen,as they are immediately outclassed when you get any tank with a cannon.below I will provide some suggestions to improve these so the starter experience is better.

Remove overheat
Overheat is really unnecessary when you have such limited magazines anyways, and ovwrheat dosn’t have any place in the game except for mounted (unlimited ammo) MGs,and even then it should be dramatically reduced from what it currently is.

Give autocannon veichles lead markers
So they can,in the rare chance of a low flying enemy plane, try to shoot it down with the autocannon.

improved shells
The penetration of such veichles lack severely to attempt to combat tanks, and should be given improved ammunition to better fight tanks.

-German 20mms get PzGr 40 HVAP-T instead of PzGr API-T,penetration stats increased from 37mms of pen to 48mms

-Russian 20mm gets API HV instead of API,increasing penetration from 27 to 32mms (it isn’t much but still an improvement)

-Italian 20mm trades half of the API T for PzGr 40 HVAP (keeps some API T because this at least has a little explosive filler)

-no alternate AP shell avalible for the japanese 20mm

decrease reload of the Italian 20mm
It has only 8 rounds, but the reload of a 20 round magazine.the reload should be decreased to balance this better.

decrease reload of the breda 8mm MG
A tank MG that has 26 rounds and takes about as long,if not longer,to reload then beltfed guns with 200+ rounds (ten times the magazine size).

move SPAAs and autocannon tanks to the rider class
Even with these improvements, normal cannoned tanks would probably still be better, due to much higher penetration, better armour, ect.Doing this will allow for normal tanks to be present, while SPAAs and autocannon veichles can offer some support, even if limited.

Tbh I’d also artificially improve the HE shells. The splash damage is really awful, basically nonexistent.

This might be controversial but after such buff, I’d keep the overheat. Heavily nerfed of course, now it’s way too much.
I’m a bit worried of a situation where an autocanon tank simply locks the objective with a stream of (now buffed) HE untill it runs out of it and needs a resuply.

I been playing some call to arms gates of hell

The 20mm cannon tanks there are soo nasty and effective :grinning: (against infantry and soft targets anyway)

20mm splash radius should stay low but should do way more damage
and almost any direct hit should be a kill or a knockdown instead of often just tickling

Yes to all except the shells. Also, the 20mm HE needs to one shot soldiers, not tickling their ass.

Good way to make them more viable and not eating tank slot.

Agree about impact damage but I’d still improve splash. Now it there is almost no difference between HE and AP.

The 20×138mmB or Long Solothurn cartridge is a type of ammunition used mainly for anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons during World War II. The designation means the caliber is 20 mm, the length of the cartridge case is 138 mm and B indicates it is a belted case. The loaded cartridge weighs 300 grams (10.7 oz).[1]

so like less than 4oz of explosive fill is possible, what splash damage are you talking about
mk2 American pineapple
1 lb 5 oz (600 g) depending upon filling
20mm under an inch including the shell
minus shell - minus propellent - minus skin of head left with explosive filler negligible
how much splash are you expecting ,25 game units .5 game units 1 game unit

The KwK 30s early barrle, is actually L/50, later they also recived the L/65 barrles, while the KwK 38 from the beginning recived the L/65 barrle.
Also the 20x138mB Rheinmetall, is from Rheinmetall, Solothurn (or Long Solothurn) is a incorrect name, as the whole company was nothing more than a false front for Rheinmetall, both the 20x105mmB and 20x138mmB are by Rheinmetall, same as the first guns S-18/100 and /1000. Which where a early interwar development for a new AT Rifle ordered by the German Army (tho they both didnt win the contract)

And the 2 cm He rounds (depending on Model) have 6,2g-11g PenT filler.
