Buff the M1 carbine and HE shells!

As It stands currently, I feel that the M1 carbine is a significant downgrade to the m3. It has substantial recoil for something that should a rapid-fire weapon. Coupled with having a magazine half the size, it really offers no tangible benefit over the the m3. If the recoil was reduced by at least a third, I think it would be actually worth using.

Then theres HE shells, which are not effective at ALL against infantry. Please increase the explosion damage as right now, you can shoot between peoples feet and still not kill them.

What are your guys’ thoughts on these suggestions?

The M1 carbine irl had easily controllable recoil but the round didn’t hit as hard as the M1 garand. I feel like it just needs a recoil buff. If you upgrade it to 3 star the recoil and rate of fire are noticeably better though so keep that in mind.

HE is plenty deadly once you stop using the Stuart

Yep, it is pretty much M5 (and all german tanks in Moscow) exclusive issue of them using a bad shell.

m1 carbien is not a submachine gun why are you even compare it to m1 it’s a swrot protable rifle with a pistol cartige that was issued for roles that require to carry a lighter guns that is capable for self defence it was inssued to some paratroopers and logistics people mostly from what i recall

no recoil buff it’s fine, it’s a pistol caliber rifle

yaaaa
carbine is complete garbage right now

recoil is too high
m1 garand is better in every situaltion.

you probably play germans thats why your saying that

clarify me why mg13 and mg 30 has so low recoil even though its firing full size cartridge where as 30carbine is fine with the recoil it has?( for sure you cant)

As it should be - why would you think otherwise??

Carbine should have an advantage on some area over the garand. It’s still a video game and the carbine needs to be good for something, else it’s not worth having. It has more recoil than garand, weight doesn’t matter yet, it being compact doesn’t matter, the sights are objectively worse, it can down 7 enemies with one mag whilst garand can down 8, the time to kill is bad at close range but alright at medium to long.

If we ever get a system where weapon weight/body armour weight (if body armour gets implemented, it exists on some pictures) directly influences movement speed or utility count(grenades, tools, etc), the M1 Carbine is in a good state. Until then I’d appreciate slightly less recoil per shot as well as more open sights. Maybe as an optional upgrade, maybe different default sights. Either way the current sights are dreadful compared to all other rifles I’ve seen.

Given the nature of hte tech tree it just needs to be earlier than the M1 since it is a less powerful weapon - easy.

Yeah - these are irrlevant in Enlisted, but were the only advantages it had IRL - turning it into some fantasy weapon is not the answer - putting it in the tree before hte Garand is hte correct move.

Carbine is level 5, Garand is level 7. That’s a life time of 2 levels before it’s entirely obsolete.
I think .30 carbine should have less recoil than a full sized rifle round, regardless of weapon weight. Making a tiny round kick less isn’t turning it into a fantasy weapon, it’s correcting a mistake.

M1 carbine has too high recoil. Give it a buff, it wont be game destroying. It would actually give someone a reason to pick it if you could fire and not climb off target by round 2

It doesn’t become “obsolete” as you put it , until everyone gets M1’s…

Yes it should have appreciably less recoil - I don’t have the Garand - not working on Normandy at all - so can’t see the stats, but the M1 has less total recoil than the bolt action rifles - 66/16 vs 60/40 - I guess it just needs a bit more less?

in close range around 50m it shouldn’t be.
your another german guy I know.
how about mg13 recoil nerf?
or mg 30 recoil nerf?

Whilst the carbine has the lowest recoil of them all please keep in mind it needs to hit twice for each kill which means you need to snap back down on the same guy after the rifle kicked up. Garand feels like it has less recoil in practice because you can shoot it way slower and have the same DPS

I don’t have access to real guns so I can’t confirm but if this image is to be trusted the .30 carbine really should have a fraction of the recoil of a .30-06, which is what the Garand shoots.

at least use carbine in first place and show proper kill death ratio and then comment.
what your commenting is complete bs.

why dont you directly say i play germans so i dont want US to have proper carbine.
that would make a lot of sense.

I prefer to play soviets, but I’ve gotten far enough in Normandy playing “Play 4/6 games in Normandy as allies” to get the Carbine and use it.

Feel free to apologise for your ignorant rant.

apologise for bs  never
post screenshot then, you using carbine and your campaign level.
