Buff/fix radio squad cooldowns

After calling a bombing run the cooldown for using the radio is way too long. I get having a long cooldown between bombing runs, but we should be able to use the radio to call other types of artillery while the cooldown is active. After calling a bombing run the radio squad is basically dead in the water, so I doing it almost entirely. At this moment it’s far more productive and quick to simply kill your own radio squad and spawn as another random squad with a radioman if we want to call normal artillery. Please make the cooldowns separate for all the radio functions. I know this has been requested before in other ways. Please make it happen. I used to love the radio squad. Thank you for reading.

many,MANY suggested this in different months and years, normal strike, rockets, bombers, smoke or supply drop should have different timers at least for radio squad or if you purchase the thing who allow them work too on other squads as well, but it was bugged

I’ve seen it suggested for a long time. The radio squad is just something I feel obligated to keep around for when my team isn’t calling artillery, but it’s functionally broken and unfun to use since they nerfed it. That’s why I felt compelled to make this post. There has to be something they can do to make it so I don’t have to kill my own radio squad to call artillery. And smoke artillery is so rare now it might as well not exist along with impact and phosphorus grenades.

I stopped using artillery because I get a better response from insurance agents and banks.

Ive just given up with artillery. It’s always ‘busy’. And it rarely works. Youre lucky to get one kill.

That or “Cease fire! Cease fire! You’re shellin’ Marines!”

Arty is fine as is, it’s airstrikes that are the problem. Either rework them to have same cooldown as regular arty but instead call in 3 attackers for a precision strike, buff the heavy bombers significantly in both ordnance and defensive armaments, or remove the airstrike completely because right now it’s a noob trap that makes the whole team pay for a mistake only 1 guy of the 10 comitted.
