My point is that this would make the bf110 completely inferior to the p38. The p38 is much more maneuverable than the bf110. The bf110 should have a little more (not current levels) firepower compared to the p38 because the bf110 cant compete with a p38 unless the bf110 pilot is extremely skilled.
The BF110 F2 that you want to replace the current BF110 would make the plane literally useless. You’d have to direct hit your enemies with rockets to kill them since they have 1/10th the power of p38 rockets
While the P-38 is indeed a joke you do have some advantages. For example it is much more easier to aim the rockets since they are positioned right under the cockpit, so killing tanks with it is quite simple (if the rockets don’t just bounce back into the air). Also you have a considerably higher chance of winning in a dogfight with the 110. So if you are a good pilot, one P-38 can keep the skies clean in lower tier games.
I do agree that 110 should be somewhat fixed. 110 can blindfire into the enemy spawn and get 20+ kills in the first 30 seconds of the match ( Just in the previous match 110 got 27 kills in the first strike).
On the other hand it is a god blessing if you can get over 6 kills with the P-38 on a full rocket strike.
In addition I also belive that P-38J and the P-51 are a joke for the US pilots. While the german fighters get the 250kg bomb, the P-51 get equivalent of 50kg bomb. I don’t play pilots much but it still holds me from playing Enlisted right now since I just don’t have much to gain from the current grind system.
Well here are all of your other armament options for it. I think maybe double 250 Kg bombs could work.
Maybe the double 500s. Otherwise its inferior to the 109 in every way. Like honestly I think the current BF 110 is fine if you swapped out its OP rockets with something else. The 12x RZs would be fine on the current one for example.
That’s not an option. Unfortunately anything else the G2 can equip is probably even stronger.
Myabe go in a totally different direction with no secondary weapons at all but give it a big gun. It’s also got a little more zip and maneuver to dogfight with if needed.
I mean it doesn’t need to carry something on all hardpoints. It could just have the 250s for example. Thats just gaijin “balancing” the vehicle in war thunder. There’s no historical logic between saying that a plane cannot fly because it has its bombs attached but the gunpods aren’t on it.
109 is again the most balanced option.

The turn speeds aren’t even accurate (though they’re way smaller maps.) TBH I think the real issue to air skirmishes is the 110 ignores the other air since it can easily get kill streaks. Sure I got shot down but I’ll get 10-30 kills, he’ll get one kill and do next to nothing to support his squad in the air. Once the PJ-38 shoots down the enemy jet and one doesn’t spawn in 30 seconds you find an enemy objective and spray everything you’ve got into it and crash yourself. You might get 1 or 4 kills
17.59/18.90 is actually in favor of germany again? Why their actual full turn speeds are 22/25 so instead of an 1.31 second different it’s should be 3 entire seconds. Also people forget when it comes to upgrades and % 15 it becomes 14.951/16.065 making the difference 1.014 turn difference.
So using the BF109, would be better at taking out guys turning, but if you wanted to avoid it, gaining altitude/or dipping would be beneficial to the PJ-38 and the BF109 could out turn.
The P38 is again a heavy fighter. The 109 is not. As the BF 110 is a heavy fighter also it seems to be a conscious choice to have a heavy fighter for both nations in the first slot. I think you are trying to work outside the confines of what the game envisions. I am trying to provide logical solutions that fit what they are trying to do with game design, not strip Germany of a heavy fighter completely.
Actually looking at it you would be right, I was looking at a different version when I went to the wiki for the BF 110.
