Bronze. Why it would be beneficial for DF to grant more

This is another thread about bronze orders economy for weapons.

The known problem right now is that we are awarded very few bronze weapons order compared to troops order, and we in fact need them more (weapons bronze orders) than troops. Everyone know this already, the devs certainly do as well.

What the devs are unaware of is that granting too few bronze to players per xp gained is not only harmful to players… But to them as well:

Before the new weapons economy system, upgrades were made “as you go”, you didn’t need to think much about them and lower lvl weaponry was very, VERY easy to max star.
Now… low lvl weaponry is still easy to max star, but players likely won’t.
Why? Because of the very high bronze cost compared to bronze gains.

“Mmmh, I COULD use the little bronze I’ve got on my lower lvl gun… but if I do I’m shooting myself in the foot and will NEVER have enough to lvl mid or late lvl ones”
Is what newer players will tell themselves.
Who am I kidding. Even I don’t upgrade stuff and try to save so much bronze economy is bad right now.

The result will be that newer players will be even weaker than they should. Competing vs vets will be even harder.

The ABSOLUTE WORST thing however: players will simply bypass equipment and TRY to save for later stuff. It means LESS fun. LESS equipment diversity. LESS competition… And ultimately for the snail, less returning players and less sales.

Think about it, snail. Warthunder economy is atrocious and drive customers away. Don’t do it here, for your sakes.

Like the snail grants us sth. though.
Im fascinated how “much” we get from the BP.

Ikr?
It’s why I put emphasis on the fact if they don’t, it will hurt them even more in the long run. It’s better making it a bit easier for players and having them return to the game than make it harder and catter to some whales (like myself I admit) but loose a bunch of potential customers who will think:
" fu** it. Grind is too painful for almost no gain, I’m out."

Maybe ability to either increase orders from scrapping guns and/ or make it possible to get silver or bronze orders by idk trading 100 bronze orders for one silver order and vice versa 1 silver order in return for 100 bronze orders. At least I do not have any use for the silver orders and usually buy Tier 3 guns to scrap them.

Same… I bough 9 ppsh41 earlier today (smg squads are the real meta, unlike SOME individuals might want others to believe)

It costs what, 27 silver? I’ll make that back in between 1 to 3 days depending if I play alot or not. But upgrading them all? AH! Will take weeks at current bronze rate.

I’m cautiously optimistic that they may tweak the next battle pass season to hand out more bronze weapon orders more often (in the current season they gave us 10 at level 13 and 20 at level 54 - that’s enough to max out maybe 2 of the starting rifles?)

SMG and MG squads are “meta”(or how you named it).
But if make other squads better or downgrade this two, then full squads with fg/avs will be very powerful.

Exactly,
It’s why I think if people really want to nerf sf rifles, they must also nerf smg and lmg squad cycling, or vice versa.
That or restore semis rof to make them competitive again.
Because those ONLY wanting selective fire rifles nerfed but NOT smg/lmg meta squads spam are straight up hypocrites: it wouldn’t solve the problems.

But it’s completely irrelevant to the OP. This is about bronze income, or lack thereof.

Yeah…
BP shouldn’t be the solution. They should merely give as much bronze order weapon cards than troop cards per xp and things would be golden. Right now we need MORE bronze weapons cards than troop cards, but we receive 50% LESS. Go figure…

never felt so poor in my life. i actually get more silvers i dont need right now than bronze orders…

its actually understandable if we consider → business and game life longevity → player retention
on our point of view we arent getting enough, even tho, we are…

I agree on principle, but right now I feel like there’s a lot of fluff in the Battle Pass that could be replaced with stuff to help out players.

There are 10 Callsign changes and 20 Appearance changes spread out over 7 levels (I’ve never used these, myself - not judging, just not really interested in them).

I think they could replace at least half of those with something more useful.

One thing I’ve asked for, and others as well, is monetizing the appearances and other little cosmetics. Then they could remove it from the BP and add more meaningful items that all players need no matter what.

@Conscript_Joe I do agree. They knew right away with the changes to soldiers the economy required a change and did it in concert with the change.
It did not happen this time though, which is concerning.
Hopefully with enough voices asking they can revisit it.

The snail is not the problem. Our greed is!
The economy is angry because we didn’t invest bronze in low tier weapon and prefers to save it for later!
We think soldier bronze ticket are fair because we just use it on rank1 soldier while we never do the same for weapons.
We forgot the value of a max out Garand or sweet music of max strar MP40 because we wanted more. REPENT NOW!

Meanwhile at Darkflow , the devs are working to find a more fair system to attribute the perfect number of bronze ticket as you level up your campaign:

I realized it way back when they first announced to cancel RNG bronze.
It force players to go the most efficient way. Not to try everything when they unlocked it.

Because I was planned to say Enlisted is new player friendly.
But NOT! My calculation against me.
New players has to follow the restricted ways in order to avoid not having enough tickets.

The new eco is:
Less RNG, go straight to what you want. But at higher cost.
Much easy for high stars weapons/vehicles. But low-level’s full star weapons worth your bronze to upgrade them?

For me:

I have stopped buying any new weapons for a month now.

I disagree with your entire thesis. It’s not supposed to be super quick and easy to get weapon with the maximum upgrade. It used to be much harder to get a fully upgraded weapon than it is now and I think it’s in a pretty good place.

You may be shocked to discover that every player in the game isn’t as obsessed with hoarding and mathing out the most efficient way to spend their bronze orders over the next six months; and instead just spend them when they have them on what they have.

I can speak anecdotally that I have friends that just upgrade whatever weapons they have currently in whatever haphazard manner that they see fit, and seem happy enough for it. I personally try to be more efficient, but I still just go ahead and upgrade weapons as I go, not particularly worried about where bronze orders will come from in the future

Then why did they make economy easier? Getting 5star soldiers is now ten times easier, vitality everywhere, a year ago i had 2 dudes after maxing campaign.

They simplified process of equiping squads, but balance is way off now.
If You finish 30 level campaign and upgrade some weapons along the way, at the end You will have maxed out squads with uber soldiers. But no bronze weapon orders to upgrade guns to deal with evemy vitality.

Get end level sniper, spend 70 bronze to fully upgrade. Still not killing in one shot, even on close ranges, this is pathetic.
And without upgrades, they even fail to down soldier.

They either need to fix vitality spam, or allow us to get weapon upgrades easier to fight it.
The game is slowing getting shittier with this, bring back 1 shot 1 kill bolt actions.

Yeah, but not all players are whales like us and/ or joined the game early enough to know about the old economy.
At some point, we need new players but rn at least bronze orders for guns are scarce resources while you need them to get backpacks, medkits and tank and weapon upgrades. You can trade guns bought with silvers for orders…

But we are basically talking about 4-6 bronze orders for one silver order. This doesnt work if you want upgrades for Tier II and Tier III guns, let alone tanks.
