They should add their standard flamethrowers and a flame squad into the RT
Britain and Italy should be fully fleshed out as subfactions if they’re not going to be independent. And that means if I want to use a British FT squad with British flamethrowers then I SHOULD
That premium British Flame squad has their standard flamethrower. I think they should add that flamethrower and a squad into the RT instead. They can’t keep shafting Britain

Used to be the two Strongest premium squads.
Now flamers are a little meh

Used them quite recently and had really good results. Halts entire squads (burning ppl can’t run and don’t shoot very well), cause havoc, block pathways, block radio bombs, can be pretty lethal when well used.
Ppl just forgot they’re more than just dps machines.
Best house/bunker cleaner after the vacuum cleaner.
Oh Ive been using them…part of my commonwealth lineup.
Personally I just find that the volume of fire of guns at BR 5 make it pretty easy to spray a flamer squirting at you, and you clear rooms without blocking your own access and vision
I used to be intimidated by flamers that got close (before nerfs) it was truly an urgent matter to shut them down. not anymore lol…even the rare one you see is a minor annoyance…all my toops have pat out flames perk lol (cos its 1 point and often just a perk dump)

I found a way to be dangerous with them:
Spray one second, stop and run in another direction, spray again, repeat…
Doing this weird pattern allows me to stop entire squads with one guy, and avoid return fire (badum tss) because I stay very mobile… guy can still run when not spraying.
(And yes, Commonwealth lineup as well!)

Yes, they definitely weren’t nerfed to oblivion.
But since flamethrowers are no longer a meta. Most people just forgot about them.
But they’re definitely still above average premium squad.

In the BR2-BR3 range, they are probably even more lethal, as you’ll run across more squads w/out the “put out flames” perk or more importantly, they just stand out as they aren’t common.
I have taken out the occasional tank with a flamethrower (after I had someone do that to me…) which was really quite fun.
But I don’t run much BR3, so it hasn’t come up that often. But roasting a tank was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done in game. (I lay on the ground and he couldn’t even see me right next to him, which added to the fun…)
