Bring the new "bolt action aiming" mechanic to all bolt action weapons

This feature was added to a small list of bolt actions in the last major update. It was meant to be for “straight pull bolt” rifles, but 2 of the largest benefactors of this mechanic are the Winchester (a lever action) and the Lee-Enfield (a rotating bolt rifle)
The feature has made using those 2 weapons, as well as the Mannlicher 1895 (I havent used any other guns with the new mechanic) incredibly fun and satistfying to use, and massively increasing their viability.

Its such a fun mechanic and very satisfying, I’d honestly love to see it on every bolt action. It already doesn’t follow its own “rule” and would greatly improve the fun of all bolt actions. It would also allow bolt actions to all make use of their bolt speed perk to full effectiveness.

While it’s a good idea, I don’t think it would make much sense, because unlike a straight pull bolt action rifle, a standard bolt action rifle requires a lot of room to move your arm and there’s just more arm movement so I doubt a soldier would be able to keep his aim while using a normal Bolt action rifle.

It’s kinda fit the rule cause it’s only 60 degree rotat and known as it’s high rof

I could accept it on weapons like the Kar98k as that has a bent bolt, however, I would not put it on guns like the 91/30 (standard version) as that has a non-bent bolt, sniper version could get it tho.

Bent bolt

Non-bent bolt (idk the terminology lol)

Its straight pull vs rotating bolt. I mentioned it in the topic already lol

If you are talking about the shape of the bolt handle, that isn’t relevant.

If they do put this in the game, I think it should be in the soldiers personal skill tree as irl its usually skilled snipers that can keep their aim while bolting their gun.

As I’ve explained in another topic (sharing so people can see it):

you cant keep a perfect sight picture but just some wiggle would make sense

I think what he’s saying is that due the handle being bent and further down, your arm travels less to rotate the bolt, therefore obscuring the sight picture less.

Other games do it aswell - and while it is alot of extra animation work for the devs, it would make bolt action gameplay simply more fun.

it ain’t.

just a single tag to be added:

  "IsCameraAlwatsOnScope:tag"{
 }

which makes the camera aim lock in place on the sight.

you could potentially add it to any weapons.

The reason why most bolt actions don’t have this feature is simple, they physically can’t be used that way. Their bolts travel too far back meaning that the user has to lift their face out of the way.

Exactly! The mechanic would greatly enhance bolt action rifles’ experience! Though sadly, I think it’s a small chance that the mechanic would be applied to the game.
