This is really needed. I am mainly a solo player and it is so often that i lose a game then I found I was the only experienced manned player in my team while over half of the players on the other team have golden color in their rank. Bring back the rank display so solo players can know which battle to quit.

It’s only matter of time before most players realize they can still see ranks on killfeed, it just takes 1 more minute in the game to notice the game is gonna be stomp.
It’s only gonna fix deserters for a while, and many people will still desert for diffrent reason.
Hopefully with campaign rework we will have more balanced full matches, but i guess it will mostly be the same one sieded stomps

Think about it: what did ppl do, before those ranks got implemented?
They still left if the match was a losing one, or the mode/map wasn’t to their liking.
The ranks themselves, were not a good update at all, it made desertion worse, bcs ppl were AFRAID of the colour… when often, the Marshall player is in fact very laid back, wants to relax in a plane and doesn’t care much…
In short: ranks mean nothing. I’ve been out for 1 month and 3 weeks, so you bet I wasn’t Marshall as fast as others… yet my lil low rank name is always on the top of the score tab, after carrying matchs…
You’ll get used to it. And in truth, enjoy the game more without having to worry about ranks, it’s one thing less to worry about.

There will always be favourite factions, no matter what.
Also, if devs just slap br rating only based on the campaign unlock lvl of the weapons and vehicles… then there won’t be balance and sides will be picked rather quickly.
Quick example: would you rather drive a m13, or a tae se (something)? They MIGHT be same br… but everyone knows which one is worthwhile even at end game, and which one is worthless from the get go…
Or beretta 20 bullets vs ppsh41. Every self respecting Russian player knows the beretta 20 is way more op than a weak ppsh41.
I truly hope they (devs) will think long and hard about everything’s br values. If they don’t, this new mechanic will only make one sided battles worse as players won’t be able to bring better stuff to compensate for shitty stuff anymore (like panther to counter jumbo, or chi ha kay from event to resist m13 spam.)

LOL, how often is that? Many of them are sweatlord.
Most match still won by team that have better rank.
The chance of meeting such player is rare.
Personally, I love this feature, and it was exactly what this game needed!
Now, you can’t see if your team is full of noobs or not, you can’t see how unbalanced things are - if they are.
And this has a huuuuge psychological element to it!
If you see it’s unbalanced, then already you’re thinking this won’t end well. Already you’ve psyched yourself out. Now across an entire team - yea, you suffer. People don’t pay attention, people make mistakes, the wrong strategy is applied, lack of cohesion - the list goes on.
But the reason is the same for all - if you think you’re going to lose, chances are you will.
Now, that’s thrown out of the window - and you genuinely don’t know who is the more skilled. For me now, 50% of the time I get to a match results screen, I am suprised because on paper, we shouldn’t have won. But we ended up winning anyway.
And I get a lot of flak for this, but I’m going to say it again anyway - I know this is a game, but it’s a war game, and in war, sometimes you are not matched up well. Sometimes you’re outmanned and outgunned.
But guess what? You surmount the odds regardless. Sometimes you don’t but sometimes you do.
And that’s where the beauty of this feature lies.
Now, you start pushing yourself, you start relying on yourself, you stop looking for excuses.
You know you’re good, but that’s because the competition meager. And you’re ego rests on this, you take pride in being good at this game.
But the people who are reeaaaallly good, those are the ones that play anyway.

Bots also have ranks now iirc.
bots always had ranks 
But I didnt remember that they reached gold ranks.

What if those better rankies are just bot plebs?
The possibility of such thing happening is low. I think there is some system that decide the rank of the bot, so it will not be very different from the rest of the player. For example, I didn’t see any gold rank bot when the battle pass started. Also, after looking at my previous battle result, none of them generate so much gold rank bot to the extent of greatly surpass the rank of other team.
