Bring back the ability of soldiers who get shot while throwing a grenade to finish throwing the grenade even after dying (and make the ability to drop a grenade while wounded a soldier's perk)

Seriously, the update that removed the ability of soldiers who got shot while throwing a grenade… to finish throwing the grenade before dying (it now just drops into the ground or doesn’t even go off), and added the ability for soldiers to drop live grenades while wounded was extremely infuriating.

It might be more a movie and ‘cinematic’ thing than real military practice, but soldiers (being sent to, or voluntarily) exposing themselves to enemy fire and even getting shot in order to throw a grenade at a distant enemy position to silence a machine gun nest or enable his comrades to move there… is a feature a lot of players look forward to doing in a game, especially Enlisted, that has squad mechanics, and where an individual soldier can be ‘expendable’. Its removal makes no sense whatsoever, especially given the other unrealistic things that were added in that update.

In fact many players die needlessly trying to perform this (which is a rather common-sense tactic) only to find out the game has removed it and doesn’t allow it for some reason.

Now the ability to drop a live grenade while wounded, to blow yourself up along enemies… now that is something mostly unrealistic. In the real world, wounded and dying soldiers would react to being wounded by somehow trying to tend their wounds, think about their lives and current situation, yell out for help, cry or do several other things and reactions before thinking about hatching a plot to actually kill themselves, by blowing up their bodies in the hopes of taking down 1 or 2 enemies. Only the most fanatical of soldiers would even consider doing such a thing.

And the worst part is: dumping a grenade while wounded takes no skill and often allows careless and dumb players to take down some enemies with no effort (enemies who killed them and played better), contributing to ruining the balance of the game and making it less of a tactical and competititve one, but rather a chaotic ‘Free-for-All’.

Seriously, exposing yourself to enemy fire in order to throw a grenade: 1. requires planning and skill 2. requires a willing sacrifice of one soldier 3. makes sense strategically and helps balance the game by adding another option to try to take strong enemy positions or tanks.

But dumping a grenade while wounded: 1. requires NO skill (in fact, you need to have been beaten in order to do it) 2. allows bad players to kill more skilled ones with no effort 3. unbalances the game by encouraging careless and non-tactical behavior and making it a chaotic no-skill free-for-all

I suggest bringing back the the ability to finish throwing the grenade after being shot. I also suggest making the ability to drop a grenade while wounded require a specific soldier’s perk (meaning that soldier is fanatical enough to perform such thing).

Dropping a grenade while wounded was a soldier’s perk (called ‘Martyrdom’) in the early ‘Call of Duty’ franchise. It was deadly, but not seen very often, which really balanced things out and made it something more unique, an interesting uncommon thing to be seen in the game’s experience. If you ever make a campaign involving a Japan faction, you could give that perk to all japanese soldiers, or as a standard perk for certain squads (like the japanese assaulters and such).
