The removal of some of these squads was kinda random and there wasn’t much reason to.they should be brought back,especially since before the merge low power squads were almost never bought over high powered squads even when the merge was announced.plenty of people would be dying to get their hands on some of these old squads,so it’s a win-win for DF and the players.Here is a list of some premiums that should return.
My guess is that some of the squads where too similar to TT or to much of a headache for the HA crowed with where very active with pitchforks at the premerge times in regard to volksturm outside Berlin and marrocan in pacific or maybe even belong to a subfaction like italy which they wanted to save for a possible new faction if they changed their mind.
The rest likely just fomo removal while they were already at it and removeing stuff or just bad for the health of the game like the flamer squads.
EDIT: And i guess DF does not like landlease to be present to keep factions unique which is understandable.
I’m guessing the reason they removed them is three things to reduce bloat so they don’t have five thousand premium squads in the shop, to make sure that new squads keep coming out for monetary reason and lastly FOMO if you can’t get these event/premium items ever again people will be more pressured to buy them.
I bought the German MP18 squad a year or so ago and regretted it almost from the first time I implemented them. Until recently, I NEVER used them. Now however, I changed the squad so now they can carry a back up weapon, and now use them in Level 3 with ZK-383’s and use the MP18 as my “I hope I don’t run out of ammo and have to resort to this gun” weapon.
That’s not really true, you should look at how many people buy paratroopers or APCs compared to other premiums like the A115 or the Type Ko. Most people do not buy them to support darkflow, players are only interested in the squads that give them advantages
Okay, so the paratrooper thompsons cost 39.99 dollars and they provide the highest capacity SMG to the entire USA faction. Oh, and there’s also 6 of them. And they’re paratroopers.
So you think that is not an advantage at all whatsoever? That 6 100rnd thompsons is just as fair as 4 50rnd thompsons? Just so we’re on the same page?
