I’m a newer player, just found out about this game in January and I love it. I’m actually hella salty seeing all the cool ass squads and unique pistols I missed out on. I think at this point with the game being out so long now, you could put old event squads on rotation every single week for the players who missed out to catch up on. I already bought an ungodly amount of premium squads 
I want the cool ones from events.

save your pennys for the veterans box. (be warned, its mainly for people with silver to burn…if you are still leveling/researching it will hurt the bank and stunt your progress)
will probably be back again soon. As a new player the odds wont be good though. (at getting something specific)

im going to be honest with you, i yearned for the suppressed mp40 squad for over a year before i was able to get it when they added the silver loot boxes
and you know what? the excitement wore off after a few games
all of those “cool event squads” are just novelties that have their appeal exaggerated by their rarity

That is True for most of them. There are some exceptions that have a permenant place in my deck
Paratroopers, SAS, German AT squad, Hanomag, t-34-100, Assault Engineers, Fw 189, FP-5, Whirl Wind, A6M3
Having said that you dont NEED them

Agreed.
Though I really wish I could easily get one of the Australian or New Zealand event squads for obvious reasons.
Probably the Austen since it’s a better Sten and we need better BR II Allied SMGs.
Wish the P14 Enfield sniper was tech tree.
I also really like the Charlton even if it really shouldnt be in game (it was specifically designed so that New Zealand Home Guard units had a decent weapon and Brens could be prioritised for frontline units.
It never saw combat because… it wasnt supposed to (unless things went really bad and the Japanese were somehow invading New Zealand)

I only have 3 event sqauds left to get: The silenced Sten squad, the New Zealand machinegun squad and the Japanese riflemen squad with the flags.
I will play more event squads when I get the last three, but for right now I mostly play regular squads and some premium squads because I can put gold order troops in them to max the amount of silver and XP I get. The XP I get I can convert to more silver to buy more precious loot boxes.
The event squads that are best are the paratroopers, the Universal Carrier APC, the German APC with the 75mm gun. The German and Soviet AA trucks and low BR AT squads are fun and interesting at low BR, and the silenced MP40 squad is good for BRII.

Most likely will never happen as DF has already put the kibosh
on bringing back old squads, and lord knows, lots and lots of
players including myself have been requesting this. We get the
same response for this as DF gives to 99.9% of player requests.

Paratroopers are a goated squads, universal purpose with ‘deploy anywhere’ option that is really handy for basically anything. A 6-man assaulter squad, quick reaction AT squad, you can set up a rally on the other side of the map in an instant, the list goes on.
This stuff is basically a third tank at least, such a big win for the Germans. You can shell an objective and be a useful team member at once.
