Please can we have Assaulter I back in the shop.
I recently decided to try kind of play as a new player. Picked a selection of squads I hadn’t levelled, left all my gear and soldiers in my BR5 lineup and decided to start a fresh on low BR (except of course I already have the unlocks). I even made myself a rule that I’d only spend silver I earned with these squads.
One issue I’m seeing is that we can’t buy assaulter 1. So if you want an assaulter, it has to be 7.5k silver for an assaulter 2.
I know medics took their place - but they aren’t interchangeable in squads.

You have to use a medic squad to solve that problem and welcome to what it’s like to be a new player essentially

I guess that wouldn’t be so bad if the medic squad could have anything but medics in it - at least engineer and AT.
Or if all other squads let you at least choose between assaulter and medic in the upgrade tree - even if not make them interchangeable.
Maybe swap the medics base perk to vitality to make them more relevant and useful as medics so they don’t become redundant.

I think the new squads that came with Merge can have Medics, but I could be absolutely wrong. It’d make sense at least. Not like in Pacific where the first several squads you unlocked could have Assaulters but Assaulters was one of the last soldiers you unlocked
While I can see the intent, it is best that they keep their run speed passive. Otherwise, if you dont have that along with added run speed, you cant really keep up with injured friendlies to heal them, essentially making them worse at their role as medic
