No one want to have low BR teammate in high BR match, especially when new desertion punish trying to stop us escapeing from bad team.
We need restriction stop this from happening. And there’s many ways to do it.
In warthunder it is research penalties, it won’t actually stop you to play uptier, but it reduce the gain. That makes you think twice brfore playing uptier.
Or, you can’t play a BR unless you unlock that tier in TT, so you can’t play BRV if you haven’t come to endgame.

In my opinion that won’t stop people because as you have said they are playing that BR to try the weapon so a little penalty won’t matter to them in that case.
I believe that not allowing players with huge BR difference between their equipment to join match making until they fix it would stop way more players, they can still play custom games though.
And honestly I would be happy to have such a feature myself so I don’t get sent to BR5 with BR3 weapons because I forgot to change a vehicle or something similar.

Well. If you already have everything and etc. I honestly do not see how this -20 exp is a big deal. And if you have a bunch of boosters lets say… even less so.
If anything, they need to increase the amount of exp you dont gain and throw in no silver gained into the mix. It should only apply when there are rampant desertions.
I rather like the topic; I hate playing with noobs who bring subpar equipment to br V.
Stop demanding more punishment, it will only make the game worse. Bad suggestion.

Many people gave up the Thunder of War to come here, don’t mess it up.
The damn deserter punishment and the useless map preference system just disappointed us. It’s time to learn a lesson.
For these guys, they will soon return to low BR, and no one will be willing to be others’ Dim sum all the time.Being beaten up is their punishment, there’s no need for more.
Just go with the flow and pray that they are your enemies.

Better idea might be to require a certain % of squads or equipment to be at a BR in order to play it.
Doesn’t stop you using you BA snipers in BR5 if you have a bunch of BR5 squads alongside them, or BR5 SLR’s for the non sniper squad members, etc,
But would stop someone bringing 1 BR5 weapon “just to try it out”.

This…Maybe there should be something in place that players cannot compete in a higher BR level unless they have a “predetermined percentage” of that level’s weapons in their squads. Preferrably more then one.

Yeah, maybe something like over 60% of a squad with BR V equipment.
