Many Enlisted players have voiced their frustration about repeated unlocks and unlocking unwanted squads in the various campaigns Enlisted has to offer. These same people have suggested potential solutions to this problem, one of which being a branching campaign unlock tree similar to warthunder. I have created what I think a Warthunder-style unlock tree could look like in Enlisted. This a tiered tree system, where players must unlock a certain amount of unlocks at the tier they are at to progress to the next tier of unlocks. Giving players the opportunity to avoid certain unlocks (such as mortars) and prioritize guns they want to use while grinding.
This is an example and doesnât contain all squads or vehicles and is not balanced
This first image is an example of what a germany Berlin tree could look like. Some people have suggested a universal tree for each country that encompasses all campaigns, but I disagree with this approach. That could lead to a german player playing Moscow and unlocking things such as the mg42, which would be unusable in Moscow for balance and historical reasons.
The Berlin MG45 premium squad has been selected, showing a details screen informing the player about the unlock. This selection format would apply to both regular and premium squads.
Assuming the Germany Berlin player has never played Moscow, this is what their Germany Moscow tree would look like. Weapons they have already unlocked (such as the mp40) carry over from berlin to moscow. Allowing the germany player to have a headstart in the Moscow campaign with the guns they already unlocked. However, the Germany player cannot use these guns if they donât have a squad in which they are usable. If they donât have any assault squads, they canât use the mp40 until they unlock one. In this case, they own the mp35 already so they start with the assaulter 2 squad.
Unlike guns, squads and soldiers do not transfer between campaigns. This means that to upgrade guns, you must level the squads in every campaign. You can just start a new campaign with the weapons you have already unlocked.
This system helps to reduce tedium, the overall grind (xp can be adjusted), encourages players to try more campaigns, and makes it much easier to add more countries such as Hungary to the game. Hungary participated in the battles of Moscow (I think) and Stalingrad, their addition to the game could allow axis players to include both German and Hungarian squads in their compositions. I have already created a design for what a multiple faction campaign could look like here if you are interested.
people have been talking about making a War Thunder-like progress system. I guess this will fix the separated player base issue but, I really donât think that this can be implemented.
Unfortunately, you are probably right. However, I have noticed that sometimes things from this forum are sent to the devs. I donât expect any of the things I post on here to be implemented, but if the devs see what I am suggesting maybe this would help them come up with their own take on a branching system or at least recognize that the players want changes to the campaign system as it currently exists.
exactly but, still, the playerbase issue is some of the largest if not the largest problem. I donât think that a branching campaign tree will solve the problem because enlisted problems is a multi-dimensional one where enlisted is stuck on a bad and a worse option.
I agree, the small player base is definitely a big problem. One that is not as easy to solve. However, by making quality-of-life changes that address some of the frustrations new and old players alike face, there might be better player retention. Thatâs just a small bandaid to large problems though.
nice work man, we are asking for this from ages, another soultion we proprosed is reduce the regrind of a weapon or veichle already unlocked in another campaign by half
ex
thompson 1st unlock campaign A 180k xp
same thompson in campaign BCD unlocked as second, third ecc⊠time need only 90k xp
Good point, even simply reducing the exp required to unlock repeat unlocks would be a welcome change. A complete revamp of the campaign system could also allow the devs to move some things around. I know some people are frustrated with how late the Thompson unlock is in some of the campaigns. But idk how much they can move it for balance reasons.
Another option is to have 2 trees, for example - generic axis tech tree, where you unlock weapons that are used in all campaigns (save for, pacific, now?) and dedicated campaign tree, where you unlock weapons which are only usable in this campaign - this should help avoid the situation of unlocking Skyrim MP40 for fifth time.
But, with allies, this is tricky, as they have both West and East, with radically different arsenals and designs, though, we could probably circumvent this via lend-lease to some degree.
Enlisted have an arcade approuch on the gameplay for let people enjoi the game without need care of do something wrong with their soldier, they can simply respawn
ĐŸĐș ĐŸĐș
with this point of view wt will be succes game and enlisted will be same enlisted like now
why?
just becorse some randon persons from forum who like enlisted says âall fine we not need itâ?
im think its wrong way
enlisted must copy different things from other succesefull games
No we dont need respawn lives and you can aks everyone here and they reject your proposal in the same way
Because
Respawns lives make camp a prerogative for play more and get more xp, make usless use different squad outiside sniper,radio-squad and tank/plane
And Make the grind worse inflating him to the stars
