I’m not sure. Allies br2 aren’t that powerful either. It’s just the Tommy nowadays but except that, nothing really op or game breaking. Japan is similar in that they don’t really have vehicles worthy of the name (save the beautiful Zero)

Well Japan BR II SMGs are not really good they are just average all US SMGs at BR II without the Grease gun are better then Japan just slightly better so its not that hard and all USSR BR II SMGs are better then Japan the problem is German SMGs are with 100 rate of fire less. But yes BR II for Germany is the worst BR.
This is exactly my problem with such overpowered (for their BR) weapons.
They completely kill any meaning in using other weapons of the same BR. As the difference is so significant, you are basically willingly putting yourself at a disadvantage if you want to play any US/UK smgs other than this Thompson.
10 rounds does not make it op. It has terrible sights, mid reload and little effectiveness after 20 meters. Fine by me
I don’t know I don’t see the tommy so much better then the Lanchester the tommy is good at close range but at medium ranges it sux. But the Chinse squad tommy is the best good for medium and close xD
Tommy and Lanchester are more powerful than MP40,
Ho-I is a mix of Pz3N and Puma it can fight infantry and also BR2-3 tanks of USA even Shermans can be defeated but it requires multiple shots so it’s not reliable. Honestly it’s better than Puma when uptiered. Their smgs are ultra powerful with no recoil like 2a. Germany can’t compete against Japan.
They are way more busted than just a bit pimped up. Smgs, rifles, tanks and multiple rocket planes that for some reason nobody is using, Germany don’t have such luxury.
Players of all nations sucks nowadays and while matched vs Germany you are fighting many bot players carrying premium gear or newbies as veterans left GER for other nations, only at the peak hours you have most dedicated teams but it’s not even guaranteed, yesterday i had ultra hard match vs Americans and lost as Germany despite killing and destroying their apcs/tanks rallies 24/7.
If a laser no recoil smg like 2a is average then i would love to have them for Germany and USA. 
It’s not just less of rof but also much worse stats like dispersion, recoil, just awful visual recoil, recoil direction, recoil offset
3 out of 11 US/UK BR2 smgs.
2 of those 3 are recent unnecessary power creep. And could easily be BR3. Where they would fit much better.
Well yes thats true but US is just such a P2W faction I mean for me this changes dont matter much im running mainly premium squads… xD Im even using the Chinese one at BR III very good squad.
For me recoil dont matter much all for me is damage ,rof and muzzle velocity all the other stats are just bs for SMGs xD and mag size. PPs-43, Uragan and Tommy and Owen are my favorite BR II smgs the Japanese one is just OK one but I would never pick it over this guns but to me this one is my favorite BR II smg:
Simply with Germany for BR II you need a lot of squads and your assaulters need to use obrez and mp 40 and you need to run 2 tanks Marader III and anti infantry or Puma and you are still better then Japan at BR II.

Japan dont have planes,ground attackers or tanks on the level of Germany only Ho-I keeps the faction while Germany have everything else better then Japan. Type 2 smg is good but with Germany the meta is MP-40 with Obrez that is better then Type 2 smg. Simply Germany BR II meta is very boring one same weapons all the time…

Yeah i really hate the meta of 2 SMGs and Japan simply you dont have such combination to make thats worth it. Soviet one is much better thats why soviets at BR II now are very good sadly their BR II tanks are meh…

They are unplayable in current meta. I spent a lot of money to get rid out of it in my lineup - mp18 is better, mas-38 is better, mp717(r) is 10x better, Suomi Kp-26 is 20x better, Mkb35/III is also better.
MP40 deserves better treatment it should be the most accurate SMG of that BR and not such crappy slow firing and inaccurate gun we have right now.

T-50 armor got nerfed but are still better than most German tanks
Not just one but two of them, and it’s not over for explosive spam you can also have multiple rocket spamming planes (like Hurricane + IL-2 + crappy br1 plane) all three in same lineup plus very solid and fast P40E-1 that carry 3 bombs.
A6M3 is br III and A6M2 is good plane but it starts on the ship and BF is better its faster has good firepower and more bombs so A6M2 is really good in dog fights but BF is much better option its really much better plane having 4 bombs in the middle is much better then the Zero 2 bombs and the slow Zero start really makes it much worse option if the Zero was in the German tech tree no one was going to play it.
Absolutely all the free players are playing this combination at this BR and its not that bad its playable. But yes compared to USSR is worse. But with Japan we are lucky simply not having to play against USSR I cant imagine against KV with BR II equipment how its gonna go xD
All this tanks are not good for me I prefer a crusader or M24 or Puma or HO-I or M8 I dont like not a single BR II Soviet tank 
and that I cant pop from the hatch really kills it for me
I stopped even using BR2 Japan and see BR3 as their BR2 as they never get uptiered
It’s only playable because of the German spirit not because of their weak unlocks being superior, sadly that spirit is like endangered animal and is rarer and rarer.
They need a few new unlocks and few downtiers. Ho-I would still do fine with it’s powerful heat round even vs KV-1 but their AT rockets are very crappy. Besides like i said i no longer even care about BR2 and at BR3 you have Chi-nu and hopefully in future Chi-to
