Calm down buddy. You are playing a game that you face AI squad bots 9 times out of 10. Game is not that competitive neither is the player base. If you want so much you can uptier yourself by putting a T5 wep on one of your soldiers but leave the casual players enjoy a casual game the one this is. Not some min maxed sweat fest of dumping 75mm HE shots from outside the map to some casual BR1 player and make them never come back.

This game isn’t only about rifles, lmao. But since you are so skilled, I believe you already knew that.
The problem isn’t so simple. Just because I join a game because I’m BR3, doesn’t mean all my squads and equipment are BR3. And that applies to the whole team. The handicap is unacceptable
I can be a great player and still don’t even have the slightest chance to help my team win.

Tier 3 by far seems like the most frustrating tier to play
In my experience i would always end up being in match playing against tier 4 and 5. I have most of tier 4 and 5 weapons anyways, im just better off either playing as tier 4/5 or 1/2
Not really true, and certainly not true for full auto. 1v1 the bolt action should win every time, but that’s not reality. You are playing against whole squads… I can do well with a bolt action, but I can take out a lot more people a lot faster with semi auto. And we all know how easy it is to take out a bolt action squad with an SMG at medium to close ranges.
I’m not knocking the bolt actions merit, but give me a roster full of SMG squads any day.
But then I will ONLY get III-V and never any I-III which is literally taking away the point of BR III. Variety.
9mm out of a pistol and .50 BMG out of an M2 kill a man all the same

Situation is this. They either make the game fun for the majority of the player base or the game will be just you and the bots.

It’s easily the most fun for me. I love dominating StG nerds with a BAR
SMG’s are in all BR’s. Sure, those a V are supposed to be better than those in I, but few are objectively “bad” cough M3 cough
And I’d argue the fastest Boltie would wipe a squad faster than most Semi Auto’s simply because the required double tap
And Bolties don’t fight full auto rifles. Period.

Meanwhile I’m over here enjoying the last vestige of the Enlisted I fell in love with. The last shred of my favorite FPS, and here you are trying to take that from me. I don’t get it. Are you butthurt that you can’t just farm the same bots over and over again like Berlin or Tunisia? Do real players scare you? Is my big bad WWI BAR really that hard to fight against with your MG 13? Is my P-38 that hard to shoot down with your Fw 190/Bf 109? Do you not know how to front pen every Sherman in existence? Shoot I know 3 ways off the top of my head to front pen a Jumbo with 0 effort with just about any tank. There’s a 4th if you find one angled more than 10°
It’s not that hard to aim a gun at someone, and pull the trigger. Bolt Actions guarantee a kill or down in 1 shot. Having 9 of them guarantees you stay in the fight so long as you’re not stupid. SMG’s give you close range squad wiping capabilities. Go and clear a building. It’s easy. Then you get the luxury of the LMG after BR II. Heck it can be your first unlock! Really ain’t that dang hard. Sure the first one or couple in case of the Allies suck, but hey it’s something. 12 damage is a real nice change from 6.8
It’s not hard at ALL to kill ANY Sherman regardless of anything. You just need to know where to shoot it and you’ll front pen them like no one’s business. Not to mention, all BR’s have planes with bombs. Scared of the big scary tank the enemy has? Bring a plane and bomb it. Not that hard. Can’t bomb accurately? YT. Practice. Get a consistent run and do it every time. I have my own thing I do every time to get bombs where I want them. Sometimes I even survive via not modeled trees
In a game where any weapon can kill anyone, “balance” is less of an issue. Want balance issues? Try playing WT. Where to kill anything at all you need the right shell, in the right cannon, hitting the right spot that is sometimes a couple pixels big
i stopped playing the game as it is. it’s really annoying playing as BR2, with lots of BR1/2 allies fighting against BR3 dudes who are geared to stomp on BR1.
the gear difference between BR1 and 3 are slightly worse than BR3 and BR5.
it should have been BR1–2 (the gear in this rating are still similar enough that it doesn’t matter), BR 2-3-4 (the wildcard but still rather fair matchup because BR4 stuff is still vulnerable to BR3 stuff for the most part), and BR 4-5 (the hardass veteran, or smuchk payer, league. guaranteed skill and sweat, equipment should be at parity)
but nope, we get BR 1-2-3 (BR3 will stomp BR1 stuff easy, BR1 and BR2 stuff tend to have difficulty breaching BR3 stuff) and BR 3-4-5 (BR3 stuff are basically shit and meaningless compared to BR5 stuff.)

Game was dead before they added BR. And its gonna be dead again if they don’t tight it up. What’s the damn point of BR if you still gonna play together with the high BR. So far people came back thinking its a bug that BR1 plays vs BR3. No amount of text will change that.

I don’t believe the current match making is going to keep new players that are still learning what to do. I really feel like you are thinking from a prospective of veteran players get good or stop playing. Sure I’ll stop playing, because it’s not fun to get steam rolled every game, regardless of the perceived reasons.

Then the Enlisted I love will be dead and gone for good. Should just change the official name to War Thunder: Infantry Edition and be done because that’s what this game will be. There are plenty more WWII shooters to play, and none that are literal War Thunder. A game so hated the only reason anyone plays it because there. Is. No. Alternative.
this, BR3 stuff just have a decisive advantage against BR1 stuff, also noticeable advantage against BR2 stuff though milder. but BR1 and BR2 stuff have very hard difficulty breaching trough BR3 stuff especially the vehicle, which means BR3 players (who aren’t braindead moron at least) will be stomping on the BR1-2 stuff easy.
on the other hand, BR3 stuff (especially the vehicle) are basically garbage in the face of BR5 stuff. oh sure, you definitely have better time fighting back against assault rifles using your semi autos, but it’s only marginally better than using BR1 bolt actions against BR3 semi autos. i’m not even talking about the vehicles where BR3 stuff are ridiculously easy to kill using BR5 stuff.
so claiming “any weapon can kill anyone” is stupid. yeah, a bolt action will kill you in one shot, compared to 2 shot of a semi auto, but you know what? that semi auto fucker can fire 4 shot in the time for your bolt action to fire the 2nd shot.
now try that any weapon kills argument with the vehicles.
TLDR, BR rating is surprisingly fits the weapons enough for the most part, BR matchup spread however is [expletive]-ly too loose.

How are you getting steamrolled? Enemy infantry slaughtering your entire squad with a full squad of M2 Carbine or FG 42 or AVT or whatever? Or a single M1919A6 or MG 42 or Maxim-Tokarev mowing you down the second you enter the open? What about a P-47 or whatever the best plane for anyone else is constantly sweeping the entire map cycle after cycle with no end in sight because no one else has a plane to get into the air?
I’m not even going to bother mentioning tanks because there’s like 6-7 different ways to kill them and all of them being perfectly usable by anyone regardless of any situation except for a single method, which is using another tank. Still like 5-6 more methods that are all perfectly viable though. Oh but Sherman’s in the Pacific are the issue with balance and that’s why we need to cut the balls off of every BR. Oh but Tiger II’s in Normandy are so horrifying. Oh but T-34’s are OP (nah duh it’s a Russian tank from War Thunder what did you expect, realism?)

War Thunder is one of the most played WW2 games right now. 15 years after release. Game is poppin off hard. Enlisted was supposed to be War Thunder but with infantry to begin with. And they are slowly going there. Hopefully they keep making positive changes. You take your BR1 = BR3 copium to someone else. I am not here to try to reason with delusional stuff. Go try front pen those Shermans with the arisaka starting rifle if you like it so much and stop talking crazy stuff.
This is an INFANTRY game with some combined arms warfare. Scared about the big bad III or V tank? Bring a plane. All tanks are incredibly vulnerable to Death from Above. Utilize it. Abuse it. Make it a no armor zone. Deprive the enemy of nice things
Be smart and have some cover between you and the enemy. Shoot, back into cover to cycle the bolt, shoot, repeat. It’s much harder to kill someone doing that and bots nigh on can’t touch you at all. Sure, that Gewehr 43 has a fire rate of 320 rpm. Don’t mean jack when you kill them before they can acquire you and put 2 rounds in you
